They would both continue to attack each other until they both shutdown unless there was an environmental factor to shift the results one way or another. So like someone up there said: whichever one doesn't start next to a pit of electrified spikes.

The result is going to be entirely random.

Since both robots are identical in every way, their actions will be similar.

But, since they are separate entities, what they do is not going to be identical. So, it will come down to random luck, environmental conditions...
Timing issues...

Basically, something unpredictable will determine which one goes down first.
I completely agree. Because they're completely identical to each other, the result will come down to things no one can predict, such as environment, luck and timing.

I think it depends who got the first blow, personally. They may be the same, but unless this is a video game scenario where they have the same attack speed, dodge, etc, common physics and luck will play its part.
agreed.

This all depends on who hits first, as the one who does will most likely win, now my question is strength v. endurance, would one punch destroy the other? Would it make a simple dent?

too many variables, but im gonna go with the one on the left :p

one or the other will win. This is a fight, not Dragonball Z. The first one to damage the other significantly will win.

If the robot's were identical in every singloe way they would have the exact same attack patterns and would en up hittings each other's fists and kicking each other's fists. I know a clip from Futurama that has something like this but I can't find a clip of it on Youtube.

If two identical robots attack eachother it doesn't mean both will choose identical moves - chances are one will have lucked out and chosen the better attack relative to their opponent's.

I imagine if you set up a computer to play chess against itself (a fight that would eliminate any environmental factors, like one robot happening upon a slippery part of the floor) you'd get a result like this - one side would happen to have chosen the better move even though both sides had the same repertoire and processing capabilities.

It would probably come down to some little difference in them that would change the whole thing. One has the smallest fractures in it's arm, causing it to break that little bit easier or one has a weaker connection with one of it's wires, making it that much slower. Or something with their surrounding isn't identical and one doesn't have a good as a grip and so slips easier.

But are the surroundings and circumstances exactly the same as well? If yes, neither of them would win. I guess they would break or run out of fuel or whatever else at the same time.

Coin flip. Luck does exist, and plays it's own role in combat, and you can't control it. One would slip, or get damaged in the legs early, or who knows what, and the other would win.
Luck and coincidence can't exist, because nothing happens without cause. Even a coin flip is subject to flipping force, air resistance, momentum, etc. If one manages to damage the other one's legs earlier, then they are not exactly the same, because the one striking the blow obviously has superior tactics. If one slipped and the other one didn't, then the ground under that robot must have been different from the ground beneath the other one. So the surroundings were different.

Both are identical in EVERY conceivable way, strength, intelligence, paint job, etc. So how would the fight end and which one would be victorious?
that's the first thing that came to mind

If they punched identical they'd throw each other of balance and just keep falling over and over again.
