Think I'd have to roll back to Celes from Final Fantasy VI. I guess I always identified with Locke so I can see Celes as being my sort of girl, and that song Forever Rachel still to this day almost makes me tear up.

Amazingly, I've never seen this done before, so I thought I'd do it myself.

So, I think we've all at least thought at one point in our lives as gamers thought ourselves to be compatible with a videogame protagonist. Most of us at least had at least one video game crush before, so I ask you Escapist, what video game character would you date if you could and why?

Personally, I'd say Kairi from Kingdom Hearts mainly because she was my first VG crush or (some of you may flame me for this) Vannille in FFXIII. I just love her perky and overly optimistic personality. Plus I love Aussy accents.

Oh and no bullshit posts about how wrong it is to have a crush on fictional characters because you've all had one before
<color=purple> I'm not sure why everyone hates Vanille. I like her. :)

When I read this topic, for some reason I knew someone was gonna say that, but 1st post?...You win this time, Mind-Ninja. >.>

OT: Idk, if it was a crush, but I remember really liking Yuna from FF 10. :p

Nagisa Furukawa, from Clannad. It was originally a Japanese visual novel, and was more recently turned into an anime. In both forms, it's known to make the toughest of grown men bawl like a baby.

Other than that, probably Aerith (Final Fantasy VII) or Yuna (Final Fantasy X - NOT X-2). Not sure, really.

Also, this. Holy crap, the scene on the cliff was freaking amazing. I love that game so much...

That's a hard one for me, not many female characters that interest me. I got a trend I'm noticing though. In Baldur's Gate 2 I found I enjoyed Viconia's romance the most. Got a bit flustered when I couldn't figure out how to rescue her later. Ya know, when-
Bodhi infects your chick with vampirism. I didn't think you were supposed to actually kill her, despite being able to obtain their body afterwards. Don't worry, I found the book in the north room and figured it out.

Anyways, it felt kinda odd, the more she started pushing away the more I wanted to get things to go right. Picked up on the trend after playing some Harvest Moon games. I would probably have to date Viconia though. Maybe I just like messed up girls, maybe its just the hard-to-get flow, or it could be that spicy attitude. it was simply the closest I came to actually liking a character.

Fuuka from Persona 3. I like the quiet types.
Reanbell/Leanne from Resonance of Fate. Guns + looks = Yes.

Margaret from No More Heroes 2. I love Gothic lolitas. I would provide a picture, but there aren't any.

Sora from Kingdom hearts. She's just so cute and......that's a guy?! Seriously? Wow, my mind is officially blown. I should have known that I couldn't trust the Japanese to have easily discernible characters. Ok then, never mind.

Tali from Mass Effect 2. I actually enjoyed talking to her in the game and I imagine she would be even more interesting in person. Either her or Ashoka from Star Wars:The Clone Wars, plus eight years. I like her, but I'm no pedobear. I need her to be at least 18. Preferably more like 20.

Edit: Also Sheva Alomar. So hot, want to touch the hiney. +10 cookies for naming the reference.

I've always had a thing for Clair Redfield from the Resident Evil games. Mainly because she's just a normal hot chick thrown into a crazy scenario, but she's also a good person who goes out of her way to save little girls from zombies. She doesn't have any wierd powers or supernatural crap I would have to worry about in a relationship, and she had a pretty nice body in RE: Code Veronica.

Zelda. I mean, come on! She's nice-looking, capable and runs an entire freaking kingdom (despite being a princess, not a queen)! What more can a dude ask for?
As long as she has the ability to make me a sandwich; I been fighting lizard people all day woman, while you sit in your little castle and sing songs in a garden! Now git me some food.

My longest video game interest was Marle from Chrono Trigger. Something about rebelling against King Dad worked for me.

Defiantly Tali from Mass Effect 2, shes shy, geeky, smart, cute, and that suit is very form fitting, haha. Oh and as a second choice, just to really freak people out, Alma Wade, like at the end of fear 2

Riku, Kingdom Hearts II. When I saw his redesign, I absolutely fell in love with him. 358/2 Days didn't help me at all - his storyline was just so heroic and self-sacrificing without being a whiny moron about it... he's awesome. Le sigh...

Hell, I'm already dating a girl who acts like Tales of Symphonia's Collette.

I think if I could go on a date with any actual character from any game, I'd have to pick Chrono Trigger's Lucca. She and I seem like the type of B-grade individuals that would get along well.
