This all day long. I loved my time on that, would love it even more now that I have more time to put into it. Plus I miss my mithraFluoxetine said:FFXI. The greatest community I've ever known in all my years of online gaming, hands down.
You, I like you. Either that or Gears 1 just for the sniper/shotgun wars.Squilookle said:Battlefield 1942. It is amazing.
Or even it's crazy-ass predecessor, Codename Eagle.
That said, if most of those thousands of gamers were idiotic 13 year olds... I'd probably rather we had nobody.
...I am ashamed I forgot about Freelancer, I used to love that game. Excuse me while I go reinstall it.Riddle78 said:Freelancer. Even with over two hundred people, that game can be pretty damn empty. Especially Discovery's added systems.
Probably not the advice you're looking for, but you could buy both of them on the PC, as they're both fairly well populated on there, with the exception of BC2: Vietnam, which is running a bit low on players.Ordinaryundone said:Left 4 Dead 2 and Battlefield: Bad Company 2 for the Xbox 360. BC2 has been a ghost town since BF3 came out, and while L4D2 isn't DEAD, persay, it's still hard to get a full match.
Wow thanks for the info, will definitely check that out, been so many years since I've played it online, should be a blast from the past.Nikolaz72 said:Using a program called Gameranger and changing settings to onlyw AoE2C. One of the best team oriented based shooters I've ever played. Sure the combat was a bit unrealistic, but overall, it had the best team mechanics I've seen with actual unique objectives to each map without this "capture the flag" crap.
Age of Empires 2: Conquerors: This one is just a nostalgia hit, one of my favourite games I grew up with. Was devastated when the MSN Gaming Zone no longer supported cd-rom games, I feel like a massive part of my life changed forever.
This, I especially loved that one vs all mode you mention, Jedi Master. One guy with all the jedi powers vs everyone else with guns, then when you killed them whoever could nab the lightsaber became the new Master. Fun stuff.Dirty Apple said:The online play for Jedi Outcast was pretty fun. There were multiple game modes. There was your straight up deathmatch and team deathmatch. There was also one-on-one duels and a crazy game of 1 vs all. It would be terribly out dated now, but it was a pretty good time back in the day.
There are a lot of people waiting for the big patch. Once it hits, you should be seeing more activity. The Wykydtron said:Skullgirls. I swear nobody plays that game online at all in Europe at least... I set the filter to any and i'll get some guy in America within a minute and it'll be instantly declined due to a ridiculous ping.
