This isn't a question asking about a game you would make, but rather a game you would like to have made for you. A game tailored to your likes and dislikes by a crack team of developers you have hand picked to deliver you your ultimate gaming experience.

Who would make your game?
What Genre would it be?
Any specific elements of gameplay you would demand be included?
Do you think there's even a small chance of this game being made in the future or is it a complete pipe dream?

Note: I'm at work so I'll post mine when I have time.

Ive been playing with the idea. But I must admit it would be a ripoff of many existing games.

It would be in a zombie apocalypse setting. Possibly a shooter.

Gameplay like S.T.A.L.K.E.R. and Fallout 3
Destroyed city setting like Fallout 3 but with occasional use of vehicles like GTA4.

and lots of endlessly respawning zombies. Classic slow ones that would overwhelm you if your not carefull, and deadly at close quarters. There would also be zombie animals.

The challenge would be almost arcade like. You start in a safe zone. A guarded hub with access to shops and stuff. From there you go out to loot. The problem is you never have enough ammo to kill everything you come across. So eventually youll be forced to to fall back. Realism also comes into play with a need to rest and eat.
The only have to safely travel long distances are vehicles, wich can be used in moderation (fuel, repairs etc.) but it allows you to reach other settlements. This way there could be different cities to do scavenging trips in but also wilderness like forests and such.

Online play would be possible, allowing players to form parties and work together to gather even more stuff. Maybe like a MMORPG.

RPG game with innovations. Multiple endings and multi-purpose gaming elements (like Triple Triad of FFVIII). Strategy game like depth, but without strategy game like clumsy interface. Battle system should utilize things like reflexes, pattern recognition, memory of player and timing. Instead of having grind-able stats like strength, attributes would be based on what the player has done, or how the player prefers to be (see Fallout 2 character creation). Story would have several viable paths it could take (see Geneforce [http://www.spidweb.com/] series), allowing player to be "in" the game. I prefer single player, since multiplayer games have too big constrains on how sequentially complex elements there can be.

I'd like a more interestin space sim than the ones out at the minute, kind of like a improved star control.

It would have to be an urban free-roamer like the bethesda games, with The background as W40K (so I can get me some las-guns) it would have to be on Steam's Physics engine with a multi-organisational team working on graphics. The weapons would have to be laid out by Tom Clancy's Lot (RedStorm? the ones who did vegas 2, they made good feeling weapons) and co'd by the CoD team (reasurringly solid weapons)
It would have to have to have traits, levels and classes like Oblivion/Fallout, and a developement based plot (so things happen differently depending on what career you take - Ganger, guardsman, arbites, etc.). It could even extend to off-world things, so you could visit multiple worlds and areas, or own a ship or something.

I've had this Idea a long time, and I saw this as my chance to type it down :)
too bad it would take up huge amounts of space, but it's only an Idea :p

An RPG where you could transform into a number of different animals at any time. Being able to swim, fly and run on land.
And i mean ANYTIME, not just certain parts where you can only use one animal.

Steampunk is very cool, and i think it would make a good FPS too.

I don't know how to explain it... The best way to put it is, Take the Gameplay of Elder Scrolls (take the good from Morrowind and Oblivion) and the equipment of Fable 2(Muskets and what not are there) and instead of setting it in a huge world, set it in a Huge city( i mean a city like the one's from AC, where you can get from one part of the city to another without a loading screen.only bigger!) Put Bethesda in charge, get a shiny new staff of writers, more than 10 Voice Actors, and I'll be happy.

I would go for a return to Doom style shooters where you can wade into a room with a badass sci-fi machine cannon and reduce 16ft tall alien motherfuckers to a pile of ashes on your own without even sweating while taking several tank sheels in the gut as if they were elastic bands (while heavy metal/rock music is being played in the background).

Despite your character's godly strength, toughness and firepower the game should still be difficult (largely because of the unholy number of enemies you'll have to waste and the fact that there will be no sniping or camping, only shotgun/machine gun carnage within a 15ft radius).

This would be a game for manly men, with big muscles, cigars and chins that could kill.

Just call me 'Bearded up man'.

It would be a sandbox. The story would involve the government banning high fives but I break the law and go around giving everyone high fives anyway. I call it "The High Fiver." Creative, I know :D

It would be a cross of Mass Effect and ARMA(or Operation Flashpoint) set in Afghanistan.

It would be an ultra-realistic FPS (no regenerating health, no cross hairs, etc)where you play as a Green Barret. The central hub would be a fire bases were you would assemble a team , customize your guns, pick missions, etc. You have free reins over a massive area of land filled with villages, poppy fields and caves(that would serve as Taliban hiddy-holes.)and you travel around the area in an attempt to unite the tribes/villages to fight the Taliban with you.

I want a steampunk, alternate universe style storyline in an amazingly open JRPG. With a new storyline, like no other game. But i dont want to know about it, nor do i want to make any part of it myself. Its up to the creators. Im thinking i would like it made by Bethesda or Valve...some reliable company that can try their hand at something a little different. Maybe I'd have done by Hideo Kojima. :D
The battle system would be real-time, strategy based. EVERYTHING would be customizable, and you would get to show it off in a multitude of cooperative and competitive online modes. Other than that I would like the developers to do their stuff, and actually surprise me.
I think it would be just fantastic. :]
But I cant see something like this happening anytime soon. :/

I'd pretty much just have planetside done-up and re-released. I didn't hear about it until the playerbase was already pretty much dead, and I was gutted to find out such a game had existed the whole time.
