If you could have one classic arcade game what would it be and why?

Lethal Enforcers

Loved that game... the announcer when you got the Magnum, and the chase scene.

Also Area 51... not the other minigame based one.

Also Star Wars Arcade for me. But not the wireframe one, the one that came after with three levels and two lightsaber levels. I finished that game several times but never got tired of it. Blasting the Death Star and fighting Darth Vader was just too much fun.

Is DDR considered classic? I want one (and a hovercraft) so that I can put it in strange places to confuse people and make awesome youtube videos.

Umm, how about MOTHERFUCKING TIME CRISIS II! There is nothing like playing Time Crisis in the arcade... it's so intense.

Mortal Kombat II and Art of Fighting would be my picks. They were really great arcade games, I advise anyone to try and track down an arcade that houses them. As for a modern arcade machine, defiently Initial D: Arcade Stage Version 3, bar non the best arcade racer I have ever played.

life force i think it was called.... btw i am not very sure if it was an arcade game... it was one of those cartridge based 8-bit games that i played long ago... it wasn't a vertical shooter like galaga, but horizontal and you get crazy powerups... it was too much fun... though i could never really complete it then, i would do so if i get a chance now...

Any of the mortal kombats or a time crisis 2 cabinet. I love time crisis because it feels so good to no that you are actually pointing the gun on screen and one of the mortal kombats because they have always been my faviorite arcade fighter series.

The orginal X-Men arcade machine, you know with Nightcrawler, Dazzler and Storm etc. and 2 screens.

I loved that shit, and getting 6 people at one time on the same machine was like multiplayer at its best, back in the day.

I know silent scope.
I also have to agree with the Area 51... so much fun! gotta love those dumb STAR agents who get in your way.

But if I had to pick one game, I would go with digdug. Not the one that puts a rock on you at level 255.

I would of course get Super Puzzle Fighter 2 Turbo. That game only costs a quarter, but I have probably put upwards of 800 dollars into the damn thing. It is great for head to head, or even playing on hard with Dan. That, or Popeye pinball, which I also used to play a lot, and had the top 10 scores on.

Quartet. I would love to have this game. 4 person side scrolling shooter. Spent lots of money on this one at the arcade.
