I was kinda thinking of a power ring from Green Lantern, I mean, I am sure my imagination might be slightly better than what has been portrayed...although the yellow could get obnoxious... how about the Intersect from Chuck? Yeah, I could go for that.

I just spent the last several hours looking through tvtropes to see if there was a mention of something that gives you more than three wishes, because I didn't think three wishes was enough.

I suppose I could just say d&d, because one probably exists. There's definitely a ring of unlimited wishes in some sourcebook or other.

Anyway, besides that (wish-granting items in general are kind of a cop-out) there are of course a lot of other tempting choices:

- The Pick Of Destiny (already mentioned in the thread, I don't even know if it has actual powers besides being awesome, but you know that we'll be rocking cause it's fuckin insane.)

- The briefcase from Pulp Fiction - also saw this in the thread and though "Damn. I want that." despite the lack of actual world-changing power.

- An ACU from Supreme Commander. In Supreme Commander, the crazy-fast build times of your typical rts are actually justified in-universe because of the advanced nanotech they have, so this thing is a 20-metre-tall giant robot that also happens to be able to build an army in a couple of hours.

- The recipe for the Grand Panacea, from Baccano!, because immortality.

- The magic ticket from Last Action Hero.

Then of course, there's about an infinite number of spaceships, time machines, and time-travelling spaceships that I could mention, out of which I will grudgingly have to be unoriginal and say "TARDIS", because on top of being a time machine and a spaceship, it's crazy-huge as well, and I'm not sure if anything can top that combo, o matter how badass an Overlord Dropship might be.

Haha, my girlfriend bought me the wallet as a present, so that is done. Unless you mean the actual movie prop one??
Either would do. Having said that, the actual prop one would be awesome. Some of Samuel L. Jackson's badassery has to rub off onto me xD.

I'd rather have a Cultist Chan ;).
Naw, well aren't you sweet. But would you be willing to do with my pet Carnifex is the question.
Is it this one? [http://i638.photobucket.com/albums/uu110/Kharrak/1221331015840.jpg] Yes anyway as long as it doesn't tear me in half :p.

The briefcase from Pulp Fiction.
Damn you, I knew what I wanted before you said that. Now I'm torn between two.

Think I'll be original and say the black ka'kari from the Night Angel trilogy :)

The Black Ka'kar-

Son of a gun!

Just think of all the clothes you'd go through... Though I have always fancied having a soured, sarcastic voice to my conscience. Better hope no-one wished for Curoch though....

Ninja'd. I think you guys forget though that the people closet to you die in order to keep you living. So thats a pretty bad trade off.

For the sake of chosing something from another piece of fiction I choose to be a Prisim. Cookies to anyone who knows what that is and were its from. But I do kinda want the RedKa'kari. Power over fire.. Score.

I just came from the $1300 RE6 edition thread and I'm still thinking about Leon's jacket from RE4.... I want that.

Edit: Oh shit, am I high? I want the Necronomicon!

Why would someone wish for Curoch though?? The only reason they could want that is to kill me, which seems like a bit of a waste.
Provided they're strong enough to wield it, it can cut through anything and you can change it's shape to anything you want it to be. That's pretty damn handy if you ask me. Of course, there's always the risk of overexerting yourself and it killing you for funsies.
Yes, but there are many other fictional things that would be more handy than an all-cutting, shape-shifting sword :) It's greatest use is that it amplifies magic and can kill immortals permanently, so unless our fellow escapists can do magic or have immortal enemies, it would be an odd choice :)
The idea of having a kipper that can cut through anything doesn't appeal to you...
With this, you could chop down the tallest tree in the forest with a fish (Monty Python reference)

Bending powers from Avatar: The Last Airbender. I'd like to bend all the elements, but if that's too much to ask, then I'll take fire or water.

Yeah, have fun answering this one. I've spent quite a while thinking of an answer and whenever I do I remember something else I'd rather have. I'm sure there is some end all item from something I'm unfamiliar with though...
The Power from Chronicle, or the Infinity Gauntlet

If I could control it JAIN tech nanotechnology from Neil Ashers Polity books, that stuff is amazing, the ability to subvert or convert any matter and make yourself near immortal not to mention parallel processing linked to your brain.
Failing that the sword of Riva Iron Grip (the Belgariad) because who wouldn't want god like powers and a kick arse sentient sword which sets itself on fire.

Damn - item, person or power? You've left this very open and hard to decide =S Im gonna go with a power - teleportation.

If it had to be an item then Im sure its no suprise Id go with a portal gun?

EDIT: I feel like Im cheating but the magic lamp from Aladdin - not only can I ask for 3 things instead of one, I get to talk to the Genie X)

The Mirari.

Sure, everyone that handled it either became insane or gave it up as a cursed artifact, but unlimited power? yes please. The thing destroys one world, then flies away and grows into a new world.

Of course, I bet noone knows what the heck I'm talking about, and I am going to keep it that way. Let the knowers know.

And they know, the Mirari is the choice to make.
