If you could legally own any one non-fictional weapon, what would it be and why?

Either the Barrett M82A1

The SPAS-12

Or the M60, which me and my friends have dubbed the "MAN-60!"
Perhaps a Desert Eagle
And finally (at the moment) a Katana.

L115A3 sniper rifle. I love accuracy and precision shooting, and the combo of power and accuracy would do a great job of keeping the deer out of my damn blueberries.

Hmm, that's a good one. I'll just say a AC130u Spooky. I mean, what doesn't it have that you really need? Well, beside's bombs.

A butterfly knife. Thing is just classy.

So the original captcha I got was some sort of Chevy Sonic one, and apparently I got it wrong so I got a new one. It says "good work." Cheeky little thing.

A 19th century British cavalry sabre.

Then I can use it to completely embarass anyone who said, "Katana".

As for firearms... Well, I already have a duster and a nice hat so I guess by international law I'd have to go with a revolver. I' not sure what calibre I'd be good with, though. .44 has a hell of a kickback, I gather.

On of those super collectable antique flint locks..Sell it to buy more guns and what not (I'd love a mossberg 590 and/or remi 870, a marlin 45-70, marlin 30-30..I could go on all day about the stuff I want.)

AA-12, or if possible, an XM8. I love XM8s, for the look and the use of the 5.56/.223.
Maybe a Bushmaster BA50.

All of these are massively illegal in Australia, so a realistic weapon that i'd like is either my 1st love the FN Five-seveN or, better yet, an Arctic Warfare SR-98 rifle.

That's right, in Australia we can have a 7.62x51 sniper rifle that is used by our defence force to take out people from upto 1km away in the back of our car to go hunting roos with, but a small calibre handgun is extreme enough that you need a harder to get license to own one.

H&K G11 & ammunition for it. Caseless ammunition, the thing never really got a chance to shine. Would be fun to shoot for sure.

When Blackops included that gun, I was incredibly happy, heck, I'd call it absurdly happy. Then I used it in the game and realized that they took away half of the damn features. >_<

MTAR, it's what the Israeli army uses. It's small size, but has range, and that's what I think is good for modern combat (of course, I haven't been in combat so I might be completely wrong).

I'm gonna go with the M1 Garand, sure it's only got eight shots before you have to reload but it's also one of the most accurate semi-automatic rifles money can buy. There was a rumor floating around for a while that they were going to start reproducing them but I've heard nothing of it since which is a real shame.

A single RPG with no extra ammunition.

The limited ammo will ensure I don't become an explosive psychopath exploding anyone that irritates me in a movie theatre.

However someday, someone or something will piss me off and I will know it's time to use my one shot. And that one unlucky person or thing is going out big. The pizza delivery boy will be very sorry he was late...

Since I already own most of the older weapons I want... I suppose I'd go with the
TCI M89SR
Can't get it thanks to some legal issues (including apparently unauthorized use of the M14 action as well as them being an Israeli military contractor), even with an ATF3...

Makes me tempted to look into an
M14 SRSS
Since I'm usually all about DIY conversion kits... but the SRSS stock is pretty bulky and blatantly "tacticool". I really prefer the Israeli rifle's minimalist approach.

I would have put down the Kriss SBR/SO, but that's actually quite completely within my grasp... the only reason I haven't bought it yet is just a lack of real desire to contact 'em, settle on a dealer to pick it up from, do the paperwork and spend the 2 grand plus to get the thing.
A compact, suppressible carbine that shares mags with my favorite sidearm would be nice, though (also, the 30-round mags that fit said sidearm that I would buy along with the carbine...)

It depends if it would be possible (morally, legally and practically) to actually use the weapon in question, or if it would just be a piece to show off and tinker with. If the former I would probably go for either an AK47, due to its sheer iconic value and coolness, or some kind of modern MG, like an M249, M240 or MG3, because I would otherwise never get a chance to fire one.

If the latter, the choice is alot tougher, because then I could also choose weapon systems which I would never use myself under normal circumstances. In that case, I would probably choose the PzKpfw VI, more commonly known as the Tiger I, but I would be equally happy for any WW2 armoured vehicle, being the treadhead that I am.

You can actually buy these up in Canada.

They're semi auto and maxed to 5 rounds (ten if you use loophole in the law.)

H&K P7 handgun, it's an amazing little gun.
Or maybe a remington 700 CDL DM chambered in the .300 WINMAG, just because I can't find one that's affordable.
Or an AR-15, because they're banned in my state. Those are the 3 on the top of my wishlist.
