If you could live in the Universe of a Game, Book, Film etc. Which would it be and why?

Pokemon; I could conquer that place in a week.

Harry Potter; I'd learn the magic then go live with muggles so I could abuse it.

Jet Grind Radio; Rocket powered skates you use to fight the power sign me up.

Well...

I loved the atmosphere and eerie feeling from Shadow of the colossus. I don't want to fight any humongous giant, but I think I would love to endlessly ride a white horse in the world it depicts.
This. That place has everything, oceans, a desert, forest, a big bridge, it's perfect. And I would fight the colossi if I could employ those shrines...

Sorry if anybody else already said this (unlikely, I know), but I stopped reading yr posts when you all said you wanted to be Harry Potter. You guys all suck. Grow up!

I would be an Edenist in the universe of the Night's Dawn Trilogy by Peter Hamilton. Even if I was just my lame old self I would be just fine as an Edenist in that universe.

If it has to be a video game then I would like to go to Tamriel to learn magick. Though given my racial makeup I'd probably end up half nord, a quarter imperial and a quarter orc, so I wouldn't be that good at magic to begin with.

The Marvel Universe for myself, though that would not necesarially mean that I would have powers though. But for the sake of imagination, I would, and I would open my own detective/catering company. 'Mighty Mos Chef'

Battletech, because I find 30-100 ton fusion-powered massive stompy robots with more firepower than most developed nations incredibly erotic.

So many to choose...and just since I hate listing things in a, well, (boring) list manner, i'll give (pretty obvious) hints instead.

Starting at number one - A world where the throne of the god of murder is seemingly up for grabs for most people - or at least those with bits of his essence - where you can meet berserker rangers, spunky thieves reminiscent of squirrels with a permanent sugar high, bald elven sorcerers and cynical, stern druids. Not a good description but hey, I tried.

Number two - A world populated by furries with a strange sense of humor and a love of pop culture references (to distinguish this one from a lot of other similar comics - the three main characters are superheroes - one is a shapeshifter, another is good with -kinesises and the third is the brute).

Number three - A universe with homicidal droids filled to the brim with gallows-humor, mandalorians, awesome weapons and a race that seemingly carbon-copied DareDevil (yay for obscure references...)

Number four - This particular dimension (or plane or whatever) is filled with ninjas that are also wizards, and the main character is as much a ninja as the star-wars kid is a jedi. (too hard? Three words: Copy Wheel Eye)

Number five - An alternate version of Denton, Ohio, with castles, transsexuals, groupies, handymen and lobotomized meatloafs - 'nuff said

Number six - The ultimate generic fantasy setting - D&D/LoTR (which is ironic, considering tolkien inspired D&D and tolkien himself was inspired by my home country (Norway))

That's about it, there's probably more, but this is from the top of my head and I'm soon going to bed. Bye all! =)

Yeah, I know how nerdy that sounds, but
1) you never need to worry about being poor
2) they have the best health care system imaginable
3) you can explore strange new worlds
4) they have cool shit in space!
The UFP can suck my giant blue Twi'lek balls. Corrupt ignorant sheltered socialist fucking hippies.

Anywho, if I could live in any fictional universe, I'd live in the Star Wars universe during the reign of the Galactic Empire and, later, the Imperial Remnant. I'd also love to be a Twi'lek.
Thank you, Captain Obvious
It's not obvious to some people. Some people genuinely love the UFP :(

harry potter because who doesnt want to do magic?
I don't. I could put 20 bullets into Voldemorts chest by the time he mutters the words "Avada Kedavra." Then I could just jump out of the way of the spell cause they are fucking slow, at least they're slow enough to dodge. Or hell, I'd just shoot him in the head with my heavily modified E-11. That'd bring him down real fast.

Daria.
It's a lot like my current universe, but the targets of my never-ending spite would be far easier to make fun of, and because my partners-in-wit would be two of the funniest characters of the 90's (probably of the last 20 years).

I apologize, I meant that you are obviously a Star Wars fan who likes playing Twi'leks, because of the "Blue Balls" Comment.
I like Star Wars as well, but i am not going to disparage someone for their dreams of a militarized society.

I'd live/be in the "Flight of the Intruder" universe or what-not. Pretty much I just want to fly attack aircraft over a hostile country and bomb stuff.

For that matter, but me into just about any airwar (hold WWI) and I'd be pretty happy. For instance, flying a Bf-109, F-86, or A-6 and I'll be equally happy.

God, this is a hard on(e). I can think of many but the one that sticks out in my mind is animal crossing. Peaceful, idyllic, and I get to slaughter the whole lot of them for stealing precious weeks from my life (A week's a lot to me! :..[). But if I really had to chose I'd go for Oblivion. Peaceful, idyllic, and I get to slaughter the whole lot of them for stealing... oh wait... yeah, I'd still go for oblivion...
