Personally I have found IGN to be incredibly trustworthy so....

And yeah, I searched buttoned but its rather cluttered with speculation.

Not that I saw, IGN tries to make sure to avoid spoilers.

Yeah, GT forums are rampant with reviews, IGN was the lowest, while there are about five other reviews that rate it quite a bit higher. I tend to see IGN as trustworthy though (though i've never had a review of a game sway me unless it's much, much lower than I expected).

Because you cant go around bragging to your friend who bought Infamous instead if it isnt the most awesomest game ever..

Can't say I'm suprised. Seems to me your enjoyment of it will have a lot to do with how much you enjoy mindless destruction/killing. That said, it's not the game for me.

Well though it is IGN, a score is a score. and it's a pretty high score. Just for the record, any game that gets a 7 is above average. Most people assume that a 7 is average.

I know the control issues mentioned shouldn't be a problem, at the very least.

I'm hoping the PS3 version doesn't have the "fog" or draw distance problems described. PC's have crazy strong grahics cards, so I think (or rather I hope) those are just issues of the 360 version.

7.5 is the general score i would give it. The game feels like it was drenched in a tub of averageness to me.

I feel dissapointed, I was looking forward to Prototype now after reading that review I don't think I will like it. Still I'll have to rent it to see for myself how it is.

I think the reviewer means that you really can't appreciate your kickass powers if you're fighting like 56 ground units raping you in every corner and flying units taking potshots at you. Also adding that you can't appreciate you killing them considering having many enemies tend to go to the mediocre overtop view-mode.

These are just an example of chaotic gameplay and not the actual game, mind you.

I expected nothing less then a 9.5. I really though this game could have been good enough to get a 10. It's not that hard to make a game like this fun! I'm really pissed about the score this game got!
