Despite the joke that does seem quite a bit biased and half the time he praises ES for something then goes on a rank about something else and just throws dark souls the win

Here's one reason Skyrim will be better than Dark Souls.

Skyrim isn't a JRPG trying to pretend it's Western.

That's just my opinion, of course.

I understand the desire to give support where it's needed, but this isn't helping.

The only people this kind of inflammatory straw-man argument is going to influence will be petty, childish fanboys who will refuse to support anything even in remote opposition to their beloved franchise, no matter how meaningless the argument is.

And when it comes to rabid support, I think Elder Scrolls has the advantage.

People with working brains aren't going to listen to this crap either way, they'll just do whatever they were going to do in the first place.

This isn't helping Dark Souls, it's just hurting the sales of both games, and pushing on-the-fence buyers into Skyrim territory, which is much more popular and part of a long running franchise, which means people will have a better idea of what they're buying, so pressed they'll stick to the game they know they'll like.

The only thing this article is doing is kicking it's own game in the shins. I doubt this will have any major effect, but if it does, it'll be negative.

Well there's also the point that Skyrim doesn't require you to go get a PS3. So for that alone I won't be playing ti because no game alone is worth $300. I still want to get a PS3 but I don't have the funds and so I will sadly not be playing Dark Souls at all.
