I bet I'm the only one who enjoys a spot of labotomy while beating a priest to death with siamese badgers.SmashLovesTitanQuest said:Yeah, I do know those posts.

You know these topics that don't have a clear topic-name, and can really be about anything?Dasick said:...where the posterreadsskims the topic title and posts, without really reading what the original post is all about, and disregarding the discussion up until their entry? That should be put to an end. It's annoying to constantly come across these one post wonders, they contribute nothing to the discussion and they bloat the page count.
I've been lurking a lot on these forums. There are many interesting threads and discussions floating around, but unfortunately I am unable to participate. You know why? Because I take the time to read a thread before making my own post, to see where the discussion is at the moment. That includes reading those one-posters, realising that I've just read trash (I mean no offence but that is what I feel it is - empty noise), load the next page and realise it's full of the same kinds of posters.
Taking the time to read the thoughts of your fellow Escapists is IMHO worthwhile. You might learn something new, consider a new perspective and be pleasantly surprised that not everyone on this big blue marble of ours is an idiot.

EXACTLY! Where would hobos carve their messages or warning without wooden posts? What would Tom Sawyer have done with a chain link fence? No one ever dreamed of 2.5 kids, a house in the suburbs, a dog and a chain link fence!Fiz_The_Toaster said:I know right?Bloodtrozorx said:I prefer the old wooden posts myself, a nice picket fence with good solid wooden posts. You can't carve into them messages or anything. Oh I'm sure you can do that with the new metal ones, but it's not the same! You can paint over them, but with wood, it lasts forever.
That depends. Who's lobotomizing who?Daystar Clarion said:I bet I'm the only one who enjoys a spot of labotomy while beating a priest to death with siamese badgers.SmashLovesTitanQuest said:Yeah, I do know those posts.

Nope, my mother was partial to a spot of that back in the sixties.Daystar Clarion said:I bet I'm the only one who enjoys a spot of labotomy while beating a priest to death with siamese badgers.SmashLovesTitanQuest said:Yeah, I do know those posts.
