Anywho, the question is, what are some moments in gaming you've had something and thought to yourself "I'll need it later" when there really isnt anything that you will need it for later?
All the time.
I'm still trying to train myself out of the bad habit of hoarding anything that might be in short supply.
Everything from FPSs, where I hardly ever use grenades/explosives which are normally in short demand, through to Fallout 1 and 2 where I'm currently sitting on a stockpile of ammo, that if it weren't in the boot of my car, would take up all my wieght capacity before even hoisting a weapon. Everytime I look in my car and see those two
thousand shotgun shells I feel a bit guilty that I haven't even used a shotgun. Or the 4.7mm caseless ammo, that I'll never use the Vindicator in fear of running out of ammo for it (the irony).
Hell, even in things like WoW

groan: I know) I don't even use Cooldowns without being prompted, despite them simply being on a, well, cooldown...
I blame it on previous save files in the '90s being ruined by losing/running out of certain items. Anything that I can't scavenge back immediately simply doesn't get used.
This weekend I took my first steps to healing this psychological scar though! I actually equipped and loaded the Gauss Pistol in FO2!
Of course, I didn't actually
shoot anything, but its a first step!
