Gotta play on the hardest difficulty setting, which removes the bs on screen helpers. THAT'S the true OFP experience.

INTENSE is an understatement.

Fair enough, I was thinking of suggesting that would almost be too cruel. Even on the easier settings OFP will be daunting experience for someone who has never played a game of quite that caliber. Only the controls will take a few hours to get used to... scratch that, weeks.

GSC created a title with a great atmosphere, but it isn't hardcore in any way.
And Chernobyl theme isn't very funny when you live a mere 300km away from it

I didn't say that it was hardcore, all I did was recommend it to a masochist. Take that as you will. I'm also very certain that I didn't say anything about Chernobyl being funny.

Ayup, a 60+ hr hard JPRG with NG+ and every time you NG+, the difficulty increases. That, and it's a fairly good game.
