I live in the same county where Bob Jones is, and it shows. There are churches EVERYWHERE (like 2 next to my school, Uncyclopedia's not kidding with their joke about so many churches in the south). In elementary school there were a surprising number of kids who believed Halloween was the devil's birthday. There was lots of the whole "Obama is a muslim terrorist" thing. For crap's sake, there's a girl in my science class who still thought the sun revolved around Earth (though it's one, so that isn't much of a regional thing). And we're still proud of the Confederacy for some reason.

On the upside, I'd probably go insane without so many people and things to snark on.

I can see how you'd think that. But at least with the "gangstas" you only have to worry about being shot. Around hippies, you have the "hey, maaayaaaan, don't be tricked by the lies you're told, maaayaaaan," and a bunch of animal rights fuckos all over the place handing out pamphlets.
Walking by them with a burger in hand was one of the purest joys I had there.
