you're what, 13? 14? Find new friends. There's still plenty of time after all.
That's the kicker: according to his profile, he's double that.
WOAH, WHAT?! *checks profile*

Why the hell do you hang out with kids that young in the first place?! You're damned near 30 so unless they're family I don't see why you'd be hanging around with young teens in the first place unless you're just miffed that your party-holding friend got some wine-coolers into the teens before you could get a chance to.

First of all, good for you for actually caring about it. A lot of people regard underage drinking casually, but the police do not. Second of all, you should probably be careful about hanging out with them when there's the possibility of alcohol. I wouldn't go tell on them by any means, after all, they're a bunch of 13 and 14 year olds. They're bound to slip up and some point, and they will get caught eventually. It's not a matter of if, it's a matter of when. And whenever that happens, the last place you want to be is with them.

Pretty much this. I've seen the stupid people in highschool that get caught doing similar stuff with the only difference being illegal substances instead of booze. Trust me it was hilarious when the police pulled into the highschool that night for band. :p

Ya can't control people but you can give'm a heads up and when they ignore you and get caught you can rub it in their face pretty hard.

If you lived in Scotland this would not be a shock.

And being "pissed" would mean you had joined them.
Hey, I'm a fourteen year old scot and not all under-age scots dri- *Knocks over several cans of fosters next to keyboard*

OT: But seriously mate, as much as I understand and appreciate how much you care for your friends I wouldn't say they are in the wrong, it's normal for people our age to try things like alcohol and drugs but the important thing is to do it responsibly, for example a few beers or a joint now and then is fine but every night? on school nights? no. And you may not realise it but joining a little bit isn't all that bad, in fact you may just help your friends by being there for them. Most importantly though don't sacrifice a good friendship for something so small as a few drinks, good luck with everything mate. :)

a large group of my friends went to one of my close friend's house. a lot of them left when some of them started drinking. im proud of them for leaving, but then there are 4 of my best friends drinking beer. they are all 13-14. i wasn't at that party, and i feel like i dodged a bullet. but i feel like punching all of them in the fucking nuts. i'm mostly pissed at the one the house belonged to for letting this happen. so, escapist, how do i take this out? what do i do? i can kick two of them in the ass, but the other two would probably piss on my grave.
You should just get wasted and forget all about it man.

I don't really see the issue here. It's just alcohol. As long ass they don't continuously overdo it, there is no real problem. They were merely curious and wanted to try something new. It happens all the time.

I recommend you go to what my friends and I call "the University of Shitface". Dr. Jack Daniels will come if he has the right escort to the place.

OT: Get drunk yourself. The first time is quite the experience and you can't judge a book by its cover. Now I'm no fan of beer, but that would probably be the best place to start or, if it exists wherever you are, long drink. It tastes like Sierra Mist and has the same alcohol level as beer.

Also don't be a prude. That's just some general advice there

Dude, some of your friends are going to make decisions that you don't necessarily agree with. It's great that you've chosen not to drink just yet but as long as they're not pressuring you or your other friends then I'd say live and let live.

What's the legal age in Awesomeland? 16? I don't think it was that big a deal if it was 16. There are countries that don't HAVE a legal limit and just rely on the discretion of peers, parents, etc. They're Crazyland, no doubt, and not to be mistaken with Awesomeland. Just saying.

Stop interfering and let them do whatever dumb shit they like? Or, alternatively, calmly explain how you feel about their habits?
Pretty much this right here.

OT: Way I see it, you have no right to tell them what they can and can't do, just decline if they offer you some and explain why. If they start laughing, then you can punch them in the nuts.

Believe me when I say that you won't get anywhere by being angry at friends for drinking underage. I know, because I've had friends who got slobbering drunk, and then look at me funny when I say that I don't understand the appeal of alcohol. I'm a square, and squares are the minority, and since there are more of them, you are automatically the one with the problem.

Grow the fuck up. Kids will be kids. I drank when I was about 15; It was fun but I chose not to do it anymore save for a drink now and then when I turn 21. It's called experimenting, and they didn't shoot up heroin, they just had a few drinks. If you're THAT upset over something this childish then you are significantly less mature than your friends. Just because you choose not to partake doesn't mean you have to be a dick to everyone else about it. Some of my friends do oxy now and again, but I'm not a total twat to them because of it. They don't push it on me and they're still great friends.
In short, if you judge a person purely on how straightedge they are then you sir are a fucking asshole and the kind of person nobody wants to be friends with. Grow the hell up.
Also, you're one to lecture about maturity considering you swear practically every other word.

They got really drunk once. Not a huge problem. If they start getting really drunk regularly, then it's a problem.

In some parts of the united states, if underage kids are drinking in your home of residence you can go to jail. And it doesn't matter if you know about it or if you were even home.

Fucked up land of the free, isn't it?

Sorry honey I sympathize but you'll most likely run into that alot in the next 5 yrs, personal choice is personal choice regardless of age you are not responsible so you need to get over it or let it go

Just try and have fun. Just because they are drinking doesn't mean you have to. As someone else said being at a friends house sounds like the best way to behaive rather than being out of the street.

If you are worried about them make yourself designated sober guy and keep an eye out for them doing something stupid.

Is getting drunk under age in Israel serious business? I think alot of us here are from europe where in alot of countries you can drink from quite young at home legally. We are probably missing the context.

Dodged a bullet, you say? What exactly did they tell you about beer? Nothing happened, relax. Underage drinking is not at all rare or uncommon.

Kudos, I had a good read, but this is not at all any kind of issue.

Oh, and I laughed. Damn, Escapist.. Are you still there?
