Who should play Watson? My first thought is Billy Connelly, but that's pretty obviously a bad idea.
Well, he's in the new X-Files movie so he has some experience with the supernatural (shudders).

I can't wait! I just finished The Extrordinary Adventures of Arsene Lupin: Gentleman Burglar and at the end, he and Holmes meet and depart from each other, marking the end and alludes to the sequel; I hope Lupin at least makes a cameo! :D

I always wonder about movies like this. Is it a continuation of something enjoyable, or the lack of something original.Would I watch it? Maybe. As long as it is in the spirit of the books, and not something like what Burton did with with the Chocolate Factory remake.

Ooh! Yes. That man could use a mustache. What about Jim Broadbent? (He looks appropriate when he's not smiling.) Maybe if Bill Nighy had a big enough mustache? Bah! all this thinking about casting is making me wish Sherlock Holmes was played by Ralph Fiennes...

I think Patrick Stewart would make a good Holmes, that voice could really bring something to the role if he had more hair that is.
