Well i decided that i should make a thread for my 700th post so here it goes

Anyway the question is
Imagine if certain things had never been invented/discoverd and how life would be with out them.
My example is the wheel we would be "shitted" with out that

The internet.

I think that I would probably have more friends and be a more interesting person all around.

Or moderation... Imagine how the world would be if we stuck to 1-3 kids each couple.

How about Latin alphabet? We'd be using hieroglyphs or something like that instead.

Or nothing at all. The Latin alphabet practically created writing anyways....

Fail. I said, we would use hieroglyphs - like Egyptians. Or maybe abstract symbols evolved from hieroglyphs, like Chinese and Japanese.

Not necessarily, after all, the Celts never used written language. I also think that society would have evolved completely differently if there had been no Latin language. Think of literature.

I have several things I could type here, but after writing them out, they seem to be pretty good book ideas, so I've not put them on.

Err...

If clothes were never invented: we'd all either never go anywhere, or confidence'd be off the scale and only the "largest" and most desirable would survive.

We already know what the world looks like when this is true. It's called China and it's not a pretty site.

Mortar--that stuff you use to stick bricks and stones together to make buildings.
Ancient builders knew how to build monolithic structures without mortar by perfectly shaping and fitting stones so really unnecessary.

Ah, and what about places where there is not the correct type of stone? Or amount of stone. Mortar is used on more than just stones, of course. We would not have the buildings we do today without the invention of concrete, which is modern mortar. So if this question is in regards to what would be different in the modern world--or would have changed the way the modern world evolved--than yes. Mortar is necessary.
