Ok this sort of topic hasn't come up in awhile when I did a quick search. I also didn't find any specific to this genre.
What brings me to post is that I am playing Dead or Alive 4 at the moment. Now anyone of you who have played the game probably know that the end game is a complete and utter cheap *****. She has throw attacks that can take away over 1/2 your health in the right circumstances and take way to long to be over. She also has a high speed of attack limiting the moves you can use against(which the game punishes you for repeating moves) that can easily rack up 10+ combos that also half your health. So unless you are a complete master of the counter system and predicting her moves you need to at least try and hit her before she gets you.
No before you say it I am not just crap at the game. I played through a Time attack with Jann Lee and my fight times were
It took me an extra 20 minutes to beat Alpha. I know DoA 4 is not alone in this SF3 Gill and SF4 Seth are also examples of annoyingly hard end game bosses. Personally I don't mind if the end game boss in a fighting game is a little hard or has some edge over you but the Alpha really just takes it too far. Seth was hard but doable once you got the ins and outs of the game.
For the discussion have you had any experience similar to this and what do you think of bosses that have a massive advantage over you? I know I specified Fighting games in the title but if there are you feel are worth mentioning you can talk about them too.
