Well at least I still have my QWOP. And the best thing is there's time now. All the time I could ever need.

I'd probably end up traveling the galaxy in a stolen space-longship on a quest to insult every sentient being in the universe. That would be fun for a while.

I would live on forever, wait until extra terrestrial colonization starts up and then boom no more boredom, unthinkable numbers of planets to explore at absolutely no personal risk.

Easy enough, perhaps. Lets Say I get board with life in 500, 000 years or so.
By then, humanity will have hopefully developed a way to evacuate the planet if not to other systems, at least to the rest of our solar system. So I figure you could just threaten to nuke everyone until they move.

Wait about 5 years or so for everyone to evacuate, then nuke the planet to oblivion to take care of whatever plant and animal life remains.


And if that doesn't work you've still got a 4 billion year cap on your life until the sun blows up.

Third option: Become a super hero and fight crime!

This would be fun for a few decades but even that would get tedious after a while. I would alternate between superhero and, super villain.

As for killing all life so I can die...you kinda have to wait that one out. It would take untold trillions of years for everything else to die unless you are only focused on human life on Earth. If you're just waiting for all humans to die off, you're still looking at a long wait unless you become the kind of dictator that can get M.A.D. back into effect and then go on to set off that little line of dominoes.

I would personally just wait out total extinction. My first goal though, would be to get to the moon or just regular old space so I could float around and look at stuff...and be cold

Survive as long as possible while staying sane, and than, when I inevitably snap, use the weapons I would have stock-piled and slaughter the world. I'd probably use man-made disease combined with nukes combined with making the world uninhabitable. I also would have made sure to sabotage all attempts at off world travel. Sorry everyone, it'd be far too tedious and, well, impossible to kill everyone if they were spread out over the galaxy.

Well, if Space travel did happen, I'd just have to wait until our universe ends, because then there would be no life, and I would die off with everyone.

I'd be fine with my IMMENSE POWER and instead attempt to save the human race- with my infinite lifespan, I could learn much- enough to significantly aid any attempts to evacuate this planet, for example. The human race could then, theoretically, live until the universe itself becomes uninhabitable (whenever your favorite cosmological theory dictates)

At which point I would accept death.

I was going to give the Adams spiel about how an immortal needs a huge quest or they'll go insane... Oh well.
Me, I don't think I'd go for it... I'd love to be immortal, but only if select people were able to share my immortality.
As for the insanity or slaughter thing... I find the world so fascinating I think I'd be fine for a very long time. Just with all the scientific advances happening lately. Plus so much to learn.
But as I said. The whole, watching everyone I know die is the deal breaker for me.

OK so last I checked Immortality meant that you could never die. So running from that the first thing I would do is gain influence with power. Then destroy them all. Free the people of Earth from the banksters, Armageddonite politicians and trans-national capital elites who are killing the planet and its people. Then I would sit back and see what happens over the next decade , always subtly influencing things away from destruction or the old ways when required. I would tend to humanity like a gardener tends to a wild garden. Observe, allow freedom of growth and observe what the this species becomes.

Boredom is a state of mind brought about by limitations for me , immortality would rid me of these normal limitations, therefore no boredom. Plus think of all the books and history you could absorb,mysteries you could solve and when you go into seclusion for a hundred years,take all the worlds computer games#

I think I'd try to avoid ever finding out how to die without killing everyone else, so that I'd never be tempted to end my life. Then I'd set about tirelessly saving the world or something. I wouldn't enjoy it, but being such an anomaly, I think I'd see it as my duty to do so.

Step 1: Over the next few decades, build a power base, master the tricks of obtain shit-loads of cash and expendable subordinates.

Step 2: Gradually gain influence with all major governments (whether that entails learning the language or not? irrelevant)

Step 3: Engineer wars and natural disasters to maintain a sensible world population (apologies, but I do not believe in a sustainable world peace without a great deal of backstage meddling)

Step 4: Fade into obscurity and travel the world like I've always wanted to! Oh, and have a few private harems here and there

I think that immortality becoming boring is something that we are asked to believe by various media, essentially nobody has lived for more than 120 years and the only way we can assume they are bored with life is because they don't have their youthful vigor to continue with, granted eventually a lot of stories will be repeated ad nauseam, but there are always things that can be found to alleviate boredom.

Hell, If I was immortal there's a good chance that a few years would be spent flicking through Youtube before that became boring.

But you could travel the world, see all the things you wanted to see, learn what you wanted to learn and play all of the games you've wanted to play.

I'll admit there is the thought of losing those that you love, but eventually even that would become easier to live with over time, they say that time heals all wounds, being immortal means you have nothing but time.

Aside from that, if you were inclined to help your fellow man, you could spend years researching and developing new techniques for medicines etc.

Yeah, I'd say immortal.
I don't think anyone is that selfish that they'd annihalate the entire planet so they could be at peace.
I'd busy myself with doing everything that is possible, including taming a Great White Shark, doing every extreme sport possible, because I'd know no harm would come to me, and do so many millions of other things.

And yeah, I'd be a Superhero.
That would be so AWESOME.
Like Kick-Ass in real life. Hey, if I'm immortal, I have time to learn every martial art in existance, make a great super costume and all that, right?

Why would i get bored of immortality? Exactly. People don't get bored of having normal lives, and doing regular things in life, do they? People live to ages of 70-100 having accomplished a lot of life goals, and had a long and fruitful life usually.
My life would be similiar, except I wouldn't age and I'd have a lot more stuff to do.
I don't see how I would go insane with boredom if there is always something new for me to do.

I don't think I could do that. Then again, when you are immortal and see the things you see and the amount of experiences you have your viewpoints might change for the worse.

Imagine, you were born immortal, unable to age past the end of puberty.

Heck, you wouldn't develop into a sentient being if you were immortally a newborn! You'd just be a tiny little scientific curiosity, subject to millennia of tests as scientists try and replicate you marvellous, yet tragic, lack of ageing.
