As I'm sure many people have probably heard from anti video game activists we apparently torture people in games. But this has been bugging me since in none of the games I have ever played in my life have I actually tortured someone. So can anyone care to tell me where they are getting this torture thing from.

Splinter Cell Conviction?
24 The game?
Oblivion has an interrogation scene as well. Plus, the countless torture flash games.
Probably some more, but that's all I know for now.

Some games have small torture parts (even WoW has a quest like that) or actions so brutal they could be considered torturing. As for games where torture is all you do? You are better off not knowing I think..

Too Human tortures the player as punishment for their stupid decision to buy the game.

Ah!
Give me a game and I'll find someone to torture, I don't even need weapons. Torturing someone can be as easy as buying Ronaldo in Fifa and and only let him play nets. Not so good now are you Ronaldo? HAHAHAHA.

Strange how we never hear about the anti book activists; whom oppose literature, due to the abhorrent nature of what can be found within the binds of a novel.

Social acceptance is funny like that eh?

Scribblenauts because gluing a block of silver to a werewolf or summoning Cthulhu in a school is endless fun.

If anti-video-gaming people wanted to pick out a terrible thing in video games they should probably just listen to online voice chat.

The Punisher game from a few years back has you interrogating people rather violently. But that usually consists of just banging someones head against a wall, it only gets ultra-violent when you kill them.

Goddamn, people. Interrogation (even the scene in Black Ops) =/= torture.

Torture is something completely different.

The answer is none, as long as we aren't counting certain H-games and flash games.
The Punisher
Manhunt
Postal 2

And that's just off the top of my head, also:

Torture
a. Infliction of severe physical pain as a means of punishment or coercion.
b. An instrument or a method for inflicting such pain.
2. Excruciating physical or mental pain; agony: the torture of waiting in suspense.
3. Something causing severe pain or anguish.
tr.v. tor·tured, tor·tur·ing, tor·tures
1. To subject (a person or an animal) to torture.
2. To bring great physical or mental pain upon (another). See Synonyms at afflict.
3. To twist or turn abnormally; distort: torture a rule to make it fit a case.

let me just highlight the important part

a. Infliction of severe physical pain as a means of punishment or coercion
So yes "agressive interrogation" does in fact fit the definition of torture.
