I wouldn't go that far. Pixar owns at story, but this was meh in that regard, despite its technical excellence. Not G. Ivingname said:Who animated that? It looks on par with most Pixar shorts.
That did make me giggle.PorkChopXpress said:Obvious reference to the MGS2 intro, in the slicker smoking a cig.
Well, when the girl is awake and fine, its all flat 2D retro. When she is KO'd, its 3D modeling, and when she is close to death is when the 3D, ie jumping off screen, starts to appear, suggesting her death would make everything like that.crepesack said:The girl was a reference to FF7, Jenova. But there was a triforce on her but I'm not too sure if it was just coincidental because they seem pretty irrelevant.
What confuses me is whether they mean 3D games like in movies 3D or if they mean 3D as in 3D modeling. I'm not too sure. I'm thinking it was the former because of the red/blue shift that happened which is indicative of 3D animations/film when the viewer isn't wearing 3D glasses.
One of the moves/powerups was called final flash, isn't that one of Vegeta or Trunks' attacks?FreelanceButler said:Just thought I'd throw in that it reminded me of DragonBall Z: Burst Limit. I'm not sure why it did or why I felt the need to tell you all but... yeah.
Exactly. Hand me a minigun, i feel an irresistible urge to shoot the message. "Progress is bad BLAAARGH"? I mean, seriously? I thought videogamers were better than this.RUINER ACTUAL said:That was cool. I just don't like how they were saying that 3D gaming is bad. They are both great. It just seems like it was made from the point of view of a nostalgic fanboy.
