Industry Elites Added As Judges for Webcomic Contest

This isn't part of my entry...I'm not going to get disqualified that easily, but is the old format of my former comic...gives an idea of what I do

I was the writer on my entry. I luckily picked up a good artist and I think we made a good team but we'll have to see.

How confident are people? I don't know what to think at all. It's hard to gauge how good your entry was without seeing other peoples' lol. Exciting times

Well it's probably old news by now, but I still can't believe Ryan North and Brian Clevinger are judging. 8-bit Theater was the first webcomic I ever read, and Dinosaur Comics...is also really good.

Of course now that I've seen some of your art, I know my comic won't win for its look. Fingers crossed on writing and premise.

Also when are we going to find out how won. I don't know about you guys but even if I don't win I am going to start putting up my comic on a blog or something.

Since other people are posting examples of their work, I thought i'd chip in with some of mine. Nothing spectacular, these are some strips for a comic I was starting. The punchlines are pretty damned weak and the arts a bit skew-iffy, but it was my first time doing a gag style strip and they were only tests so meh.

Agreed. I've been trying to start my comic for a little while, and this contest gave me the push I needed. Still, getting my comic here would make the process a lot easier.

The winner will be chosen the week of the 8th and I really kinda doubt they are going to post all of the submissions. However there is nothing saying we couldn't share them once the contest is over.

I too have no regrets about my comic entry. I can't say much for my shitty logo, though. Mine's full colour, in copic markers.
