I've just shown that pic to some of the japanese schoolgirls at the junior high i'm working at, and their reaction was more 'Kowai' than 'Kawaii'.
The squirrel still freaks me out more though, and he's only got one arm!
Edit: OK, so a few of them have said it's pretty cute. I'm not sure they realise what it is, haha.

Well, I'd like to thank everyone who's contributed to this thread so far. I, as with many people here, have awaited with anticipation the announcement of winners, and have found the distraction of this thread to be just what the doctor ordered. It's the most fun I've had lurking a thread in years.
