Conflicted. If West and Zampanella (spelling?) get what they deserve, then Activision will shrivel up and die, but I'm still waiting for Prototype 2.
I hope Kotick is publicly embarrassed and resigns after this, but in all fairness he was doing exactly what he was brought into the company to do. He cuts every corner, trims all that "artistic integrity" bullshit and leaves only a bare-bones perpetual money/sequel machine; exactly what the investors wanted in the first place. If they wanted to support artistic merit, they would've invested in Doublefine or something.
EA wanted to do the same, but after seeing the potential of small, original games, at least they're willing to invest in some original ideas as long as they look profitable. It's just too bad that instead of having an open call for indie and casual developers, they just dropped a $300 million dollar deuce and bought an existing company(playfish i think?).
