I was gonna vent about how if either wins, I lose, because another COD game means another year where I get to be politely informed that I am violently attracted to other men because I don't CAP FAGGOTS on BLOPS, but then I remembered that COD has made it easier than ever to find dejected girlfriends to get to cheat, so, honestly? I hope one company wins, hard, and continues to keep the lowest common denominator distracted while I continue proving to myself that the phrase "but I have a boyfriend" is meaningless.

Basically, the CEO of acti-blizz is a guy called Bobby Kotick, and boy is he a dick.

As long as this doesn't negatively effect Bungie I'm all for Activision being taken down a few pegs. Although EA and Activision can both be dicks sometimes their role in the publishing of actual quality games is necessary.

Oh my God I love that avatar. I hated Shinn with a burning passion and seeing him get decked over and over and over again brings a giddy smile to my face.

I have nothing really to add to this conversation, other than the fact that I hope Activision loses because I'd really like to see them stop their sleazy business practices and hopefully the lawsuit might accomplish that (though it probably wouldn't).

Conflicted. If West and Zampanella (spelling?) get what they deserve, then Activision will shrivel up and die, but I'm still waiting for Prototype 2.

I hope Kotick is publicly embarrassed and resigns after this, but in all fairness he was doing exactly what he was brought into the company to do. He cuts every corner, trims all that "artistic integrity" bullshit and leaves only a bare-bones perpetual money/sequel machine; exactly what the investors wanted in the first place. If they wanted to support artistic merit, they would've invested in Doublefine or something.

EA wanted to do the same, but after seeing the potential of small, original games, at least they're willing to invest in some original ideas as long as they look profitable. It's just too bad that instead of having an open call for indie and casual developers, they just dropped a $300 million dollar deuce and bought an existing company(playfish i think?).
