I said this once, I've said this twice..please for the love of God make Medieval warfare!

Due to serious melee technicalities, first person medieval combat will always suck.

Did you try Zeno Clash? While not perfect, the first person fighting actually worked pretty well.

While not medieval Condemned had good melee. Although swords falling apart would be lame.

Edit; This could be good seeing as how stupid CoD6's plot turned out.

... Seriously, if the storyline was just starting to get old/cliche and certain elements were just starting to get overused when Infinity Ward did it a second time, I'd hate to imagine how much a different developer would overdo it.

Well, the melee would be bad in Medieval Warfare, as you'd be swinging your big sword, when all of a sudden, some jerk instakills you with a knife...

MW2 ends with too big a cliffhanger for them not to have a third installment in mind. If they had to plead to get out of WW2, I can't imagine Activision letting them walk away from this moneypile waiting to happen.

That said, I couldn't give half a shit about the next marines in the campaign. Even when they aren't killing off those protagonists, they don't hold together like the SAS missions do, and the Marine missions just seem to be the worst grenade spam grinders. Horrible.
