yea well, if it's true, atleast some new devs will get to try their time in the spotlight, and seeing the reputation that the COD series have already established, it will hopefully put some pressure on said devs to well, reach or possibly go beyond the well-established expectations.

i just hope it's not Treyarch...

There is no need i'm afraid, they'll just put more effort in multiplayer.
Infinity Ward treats singleplayer and multiplayer the opposite way it should, for them the singleplayer became the little extra and multiplayer is the main thing.
Besides, wee all know how it's going to end, everyone dies including Makarov.

Treyarch can 'strut it's stuff' but to be honest they seem to lack infinity wards close fan development, the idea of asking what people wanted in MW2 was a brilliant idea which (in my opinion) worked well. Treyarch on the other hand probably won't do this for their next day. Another old war epic? No thanks.

I really dont get why people need a conclusion after mewtwo, price and soap (who has stupid hair) both lived, saved by nikolai. They the obviously lived out the rest of their lives tending rice paddies in the indonesia. As for Zakaiev(sp?) they said many, many times throughout the game that there will always be someone to be the bad guy, i.e. no matter how many dictators or terrorists you brutaly execute there will be more, so no conclusion can be had.

I think mewtwo was a great finale and that some sort of sandbox vietnam game would be awesome, like farcry 2 but good. instead of farcry's a full mag or a headshot to kill it could be a few bullets to the torso.

It is titled "Infinity Ward Not Making Modern Warfare 3" With no question mark or anything, and not until you enter and read it do you figure out this is just some completely unconfirmed rumor that is stated as pure fact in the thread title.

I think whoever posted this is just looking to make a popular thread, and did a pretty seedy thing with the title in order to increase viewers.

John Funk is a columnist for the site, this is in the news room, he doesnt get a badge for this. You've made almost nine hundred posts on this site and still have no idea whats happening.

I stand by what I said (but not the part about doing it for high thread count) I don't care if this guy owns the escapist and is good personal buddies with Jesus Christ, the title of this thread was misleading in my opinion

I could post something angry and be mad or whatever, but I'll be real when I say that I'll play it. I'm not 100% opposed to IW like most PC gamers, but when it comes down to the wire like it usually does with IW, I'll stake my claim with the rest.

I want a MW3 if not for another game just to finish the story. It's the biggest open ending I've seen in a game. But what I'd also like to see is some more wars out there. I want a great Vietnam game. What about WWI or Korean? I'd love to see a Civil War or Revolutionary War FPS. Don't know how it would really work but I send the challenge out there. So many amazing battles from them I'd love to play out.

Yeah, and Bungie was going to retire the Halo series. Like any game company is going to stop before a cash cow is bled dry.

They aren't going to retire it, they just lose the rights to it. (after Reach or ODST, I can't remember which. probably Reach)

Frankly, I want somebody else doing Halo, Bungie is too full of themselves saying that there is a "whole new multiplayer" when they just package the DLC.

I don't care who makes MW3, all I care about is where the hell Nikolai keeps his small armada of aircraft parked when he's flying around THE ENTIRE PLANET.

Small? what do you mean small? he has a secret underground super-highway where he can order ANY vehicle he wants...

plus did you see what he was driving? he had an AC130, a bunch of attack choppers, and whatever he drove in MW1. What I want to know is, why is he still with Price and soap? sure they saved him, but now they lead him into so much fire that he might just decide to leave one of these times...
