No surprise there:
1) I'm not of the opinion MK9 had a good story, not quite sure where you're coming from with that.
2) It's a fighting game. Story's not even expected
3) The opening cinematic told you all you needed to know about the quality of the story. I was watching it and waiting for things to somehow start getting better, but it was the most dull and unimpressive thing about the game. Or even most games (that I take interest in), possibly all of them

That said, the game seems fun, I'm getting it on Friday (EU release). Played the demo and it plays well. I'm mostly sad about the no tag teams (2vs2)... I'm not sure why or how they got to avoiding it, seeing as MK9 had it and it makes even more sense in this universe than over there for heroes and even villains to work with each other. More importantly though, I'm sad that now every time more than one friend comes around, we likely won't be giving it much time but will instead keep playing MK9 as it sucks to wait around forever to play when you can play 2vs2.

And even when just one friend's over, we like to team up and play the tag ladder. Sure, there's stuff to love about versus, but working together is something I really love in games and my mate and me made quite a game of playing the tag ladder, it's the most fun I've had multiplayer gaming in ages.

Other than that though, the game's pretty solid. It felt a little weird coming from MK9 (I don't play other fighting games), but you get used to it and the combat flows well, it's just a bit different. Only complaint on gameplay I have is Doomsday and wake-up attacks in general on Very Hard, but I got a feeling that'll get sorted and it might just be a difference in gameplay (and my complete inaptitude at directional blocking)

So what is the explanation that Harley Quinn can go toe to toe with Superman along with all the other super powerless characters?
They explain that One Earth Superman a.k.a the bad Superman made a pill for his minions with kryptonian technology wich gives you extra strenght and durability, the insurgency a.k.a. alternative Batman and others got a hold of this tech too, so there's the "explanation" wich now I realize it makes less sense to the "killing of Shazam" scene, 1) Shazam is godlike 2) he's powers are magical and Superman is weak against magic and 3) he was probably taking one of those pills... hmmm, like MovieBob usually says "comics are weird" :p

I'm just disappointed that they took the standard "Alternative Dimension" Route again, I was thinking they'd be edgy and actually show the Heroes turn into the Villains rather then just throwing the Good Heroes in to fight the Bad Heroes.
Plot isn't too bad, could have been a LOT worse.

I actually find DBZ entertaining, but Superman makes Goku look like a low powered chump. I call that boring.
Why are so many people saying this on the internet lately? Nothing I've seen of superman makes me think he would stand a chance against Goku; but I am wondering how many people saw DBZ to the end. Every other laser from goodguys and badguys eventually became planet destroyers... It got so ridiculous they had to end it because there was nowhere else to go from there.

Also, this is funny. In all the hype and advertising I've seen of Injustice, NOTHING I've seen ever said it was a fighting game. I had no idea lol.
Watch and learn.

The story actually isn't that bad. It's pretty good. I just wish it was a little bit longer.
Oh for god sakes don't post that crap here and present it as fact. People with a brain knows that whole video was crap and so was the evidence presented in that video. Goku, hell even Vegeta would destroy Superman. The whole point of DBZ was how ridiculously overpowered they were. Seriously, even in the early episodes of DBZ, Frieza could destroy a planet with his FUCKING finger! Cell took a Final Flash from Vegeta like it was just a paper cut (which was total BS as well but I digress) when Final Flash is basically "fuck everything in that direction power" (including planets).

That video is also a total fail for even mentioning DBZ GT and using it as evidence in that video as well. -_-
Hate to break it to you, but GT is canon.
