Inner camera whore?

When I feel sad, one of the things I like to do is be a camera whore. Ironically, I always look horrible in these pictures because of the aforementioned melancholy, and I am too shy to actually do anything with the pictures.
Still, do you like taking pictures of yourself? Love to plaster your face all across the net? Why is it that we either adore or hate doing so?

I fucking hate people who take photos. They're too busy taking picturea to experience being somewhere. I don't get it, do they take out their pictures to remind themselves of something they haven't really been?

That and if I hear "Smile! I'm taking a picture!" one more time I'm gonna start smashing cameras. I don't look happy, ever. If you don't want pictures of real life, don't take pictures at all...

I think I can respond with an amused 'no'. I have no problem with it in theory, but i've gotten so deeply into the habit of not revealing my face to the escapist that it would just seem wrong to take off the Ultrahelm. That, and my webcam is a grainy piece of crap that would make me look as pixellated as my avatar anyway.

I look stoned in any pictures I take of myself, and stupid in pictures taken by others. Thus, I avoid cameras like I would avoid a mutated spider, and hide behind other people when someone wants to take a pic.

That said, if I'm doing something else than just standing about, I don't mind people taking pictures. For example, on the three pictures I have of myself on this computer, I play guitar at a concert, I drink white wine on a flight, donned in my bush hat, and I grill a sausage over an open fire, headbanging away to The Agonist.

Meh, I never think I look good in pictures that I actually take of myself (how very few that actually is). Sometimes though, when I look through albums of photos I enjoy saying "Damn, I looked good!" I never really go out of my way to take pictures of myself though.

Not a huge fan of camera whores. Mainly because I'm very bitter about my looks, and most of them needn't be about theirs..Sour grapes, no doubt.

ermm that depends. on the who and why and where. every time i hit a weight goal or size goal on my program, i go berserk with my camera, just so i can record my progress. but in general i dont much like having my picture taken especially by random people.

Instead of taking pictures of myself, I write reviews that get praised now and then (when people bother to comment). Same purpose really: ego booster. I have a friend who likes the camera though!

I think I have about ... four photos of myself. Acquired throughout my entire life.

It's not that I don't like having my picture taken, (I'm quite a fan of appearing ridiculously in photos) I just have no drive to take photos of myself or much of anything. And when other people take pictures of me I lack the drive to keep them.

I do own a camera though ... Ehh. Perhaps one day but for now, no, I'm not what you would call a camera whore.

I have one picture of myself in the last 7 years. Actually, I probably lost it. Sometimes I wish I'd taken a few to show other people some of the places I've been, but I wouldn't care too much if I was actually in the photos.

I can't think of anything more intolerable than pics of MY mug across the public domain, my friends on social networking sites complain I don't put much up, maybe one day....

As for you, it sounds almost therapeutic for you to do it. Looking at pics of yourself gives you a slightly different perspective than looking in a mirror. So do it, just try and eventually break free of your own visual misgivings, I'm sure you look fine.

Having said all this, the teeny-fetus's who constantly do the 'Myspace pose' (elevated camera, finger to mouth, looking bemused), walk the not-so-fine line between expression and attention whore

I would normally say something immature like GIV MEE PICS LULZ but I seem to remember a previous thread where you said you were 16 or 17, and that would make such requests illegal, innapropriate, and gross. grossererer than usual.

I don't much like photograps.... never cared for posing. I prefer guerilla photography.

However, i've been on a pretty strict diet (no beer mon-thurs is pretty strict i guess) and have been hitting the gym 4 days a week, so maybe when im totally sexaphonix ill become a camera whore too...

I'm very in touch with my little inner camera whore, and keep him locked in the inner basement, with the door locked and the key thown away. The reason for this is that, while I'm not exactly a pariah in real life, I cannot seem to have a picture taken of me where I don't look like a hideous fucking C.H.U.D.. It's a rare day that a picture gets taken of me that I don't want to torch on sight.

Only when I'm doing tricks, I'm a show-off I know. Any other time I don't like it, the sun is always in my eyes, every freaking time! I swear I could have my picture taken at midnight and I would still be blinded by the sun. Damn you Ra!
