when i hit something... i want to see limbs flying, intestines spilling out, and all that stuff even with the smaller enemies, i want to see this level of detail.

when i hit something, i want it to have some weight and impact.

im tired of playing hack-n-slashers where i hit shit and it doesnt look like im doing any damage until they fall over. when im using giant swords or weapons attached to chains, i want to FEEL like im hitting my enemis with giant swords attached to chains
This...realistically modeled location-based damage. Take destructible terrain, add it to character models...and have the most viciously intense combat ever. Armor (And bone) will turn weapons, or break if hit hard enough. Soft flesh will part like a razor across your jugular. A belly slash will result in spilled entrails. Your sword will get stuck in enemies. Realistic blood content. Complete gore fest... at the end of every battle you will set up a slip-and-slide in your enemy's viscera.
stop.
where can i place my pre-order? :D

this almost sounds like a linear version of Prototype with a better engine (which COULD be awesome, but the open-world worked very well with the superpowers)

I've only had the displeasure of playing Dynasty Warriors and the slight enjoyment of playing Spartan: Total Warrior for hack n slash games.

To interest me, they'd have to get a hell of a lot more ludicrous in their action without adding all of the flashy anime colours and combo crap. Lots and lots of blood. Gruesome finishing moves. And a price tag of around $10.

This whole thread is just plain screwing with my mind now.

You want a genre, mainly focused on attacks and combos...to not have attacks and combos?? And you want more of the blandness of GoW that everyone else is complaining about.....I don't get it..

Um, well, making it more spectacle would be nice. I mean, making the camera move in cool ways with your chraceter as they flip around the stage, or making even more ridiculous moves and combos. I'd also like it to get more down and dirty, like in Demon's Souls. That game knew how to hack n' slash.
