Why should anyone care about the silent majority? As long as they don't comment on stuff nobody knows if they like it or not, so it could also be the case that the majority doesn't like and simply doesn't comment. I saw the last couple of threads and there were a bunch of people who said that they don't like the pacing, and because there were more negative comments than positive ones, one has to assume that the majority doesn't like it.

Faulty logic. By your line of reasoning, a simple flick through the forum would suggest Diablo III sold quite poorly. This, however, is not the case.

People who dislike something, especially on the internet where they are free to rage and embarrass themselves, are always louder than those that enjoy it. Why? The group that like the subject move on and continue to enjoy it, while the angry minority want to vent.

Sorry, but that argument about Diablo is faulty. If you look through the forum it doesn't suggest that it sold poorly, but that people didn't like it after they bought it.

I'm really tired of this story line, and I don't really get the bit with the Medusa Head.

I actually don't mind this storyline, but I do agree the pacing is kind of slow.

This is basically my feelings on this arc. I think the story is interesting enough. But it is REALLY boring me with how slowly we are getting there.

I'd probably be less "meh" about this if the pacing of this arc wasn't diabolically slow. Can't help but think you could be working within the confines of your medium a bit better- this would work much better as a comic book than a twice a week webcomic. Some how at this point I just want him to drop her to her death, he goes to jail for murder, the end! I don't know when you lost everyone but if it didn't happen last comic it happened this comic.

And the silent majority means nothing. I don't like the pacing either, but didn't make a post about it (up until now). Unless you can read minds, being silent doesn't count as a point for either you or him. Finally, he used an hyperbole, clearly not meant to be taken literally, and you trying to force him into "proving" his hyperbole is ridiculous. It's just a manner of speech.

"16 or so" is a lot for a webcomic story arc, particularly in a series that almost never has them. I'd be happy if this ended abruptly with the next one and we never heard from it again. If you want to write a story all of a sudden, then make a second series.
