I I have learning disabilities and I have never felt that IQ tests shown anything. I've had to take so many of the damn things over the years. Those stupid blocks get me every time. I have ADHD and NLD and very poor spacial reasoning, which IQ tests reflect.
Uh, that's kind of the point.
IQ test were first designed to point out people with learning disabilities, or other conditions, like autism. They're
meant to be difficult for people who aren't the 'norm', so if you have ADHD and NLD, and you don't do very well, then they're actually working
well
I should also point out that it's not a competition. Getting a low score is not failing, but showing things about how your brain works. If your learning disabilities stop you scoring high, then all it should do is help you get the right kind help to aid you with your disabilities.
Sorry if I sound like I'm against people with learning disabilities. I'm not, I and most of my family have varying degrees of AS.
