Something can be round without it being spherical. Round just means it's curved.

Am I the only one that noticed the fact that this thread did not refer to a "chicken" egg I think of things like frog eggs or other such as it. In any case I would say all eggs are round due to the fact I have never seen a egg in the shape of a cube.
