to put it in black and white terms, hitting anyone is bad. However, hitting a girl is no worse than hitting a boyDarthScorpio11 said:I mean, I'm 21, and my sister is 19. Growing up we used to hit each other all of the time. Hit, punch, bite (well she used to bite me sometimes), pinch, push, and a few times slap. Mostly as a kid, however we did it every now and then as teenagers. We don't really fight anymore except verbally. The last physical altercation was about a few months ago, when my sister was pissed about something and blocked me in the hallway, and started yelling at me and shoving me. At first i just stood there waiting for her to move out of my way, and then she did it again, so i shoved her out of the way far enough for me to get through.
I dunno, i'm not even that big. I'm about 5'7'' and 112 pounds, and she's about 5'4'' and 115 pounds. So, i think it's fair. She's bigger than me...
As a 112 pound guy, i legitimately think a lot of girls could potentially be a threat against my safety if they were to attack me. I hate how everyone assumes just because im a guy im automatically much stronger, and a girl couldn't possibly be a threat, and i have no reason defending myself. Whatever happened to equality?
Now, im not for some big buy beating up his wife just because he's a douche. However, i think people should stop thinking in black and white about everything.
Even if it is a "real" fight, family members rarely use violence against each other with the intention of hurting the other person (discounting domestic violence cases of course). If you slap or hit her, it's not the same way you would slap or hit a legitimate attacker.DarthScorpio11 said:I mean, I'm 21, and my sister is 19.
