Which would be also why cheats can be unlocked in games nowadays, like get 1000 heashots and you get a cool gun for exampleAlmightyWabbit said:Thats why they stopped developing them for a lot of games (outside the PC gaming industry, the hackers/modders would just cheat anyway.) All tthe developers could see is people buying the games and returning them like a week later after being bored with the collosal power the cheats had given them.Mozza444 said:I wouldn't have agreed with you a year ago.. But now i do, thinking back i really wasted a games longetivity with cheats..AlmightyWabbit said:Eugh. GTA4... That game fucked my ps3 up the arse.Mozza444 said:Fair point.. there must have been a few games i have ruined due to using cheats as soon as it was inserted into the disk drive..AlmightyWabbit said:Let me refraise that.Mozza444 said:But it was still an option to use them?AlmightyWabbit said:Pretty much a good thing, cheats spoil the game.
But it was still an option a temptation to use them?
However.. GTA IV what the hell happend to those 10 buttons people knew better than the order of the alphabet?? Fucking mobile cheat inputting system..
However, i do apologise sir.. I do actually enjoy games more, when the option temptation is not there..
I just like games that make you damn well play it, if your going to cheat your way through it theres no point in playing it at all.
I AM pretty sick of reading cheatcodes for games these dyas, only to find that they're just bloody instructions on how to unlock the tophies or achievements. Though, that being said... It might have something to do (with the exception of Dragon Age) with today's games just being too freaking easy. They practically hold our hand these days as we tip toe through the tulips and out post-apocalyptic wastelands and such.Cpt Badger said:When i say cheat codes I dont mean the kind of code that allows you to unlock every level before you have even started, I mean the sorts of codes that enhanced the game or gave it a breath of fresh air.
Red Faction Guerilla does the exact same thing, if you use cheats that you've managed to access in game.Sev said:I like GTA IV's style to it, that it takes away Trophies and Achievements if you use them.
I don't understand how people can say this? I play every game I have with cheats (except for mp games >.>) but I always play through without cheats the first time. How is it not fun to be able to walk up and beat a machine gunner to death with a hammer without taking any damage? <3 /godAlmightyWabbit said:Pretty much a good thing, cheats spoil the game.
Then those aren't cheat codes. The codes that let you play as a clown in your favorite FPS or splatter paintballs all over the wall aren't for cheating and therefore aren't cheat codes. But God Mode, all weapons, and unlock all levels, are for sissies. Penisless sissies.Cpt Badger said:When i say cheat codes I dont mean the kind of code that allows you to unlock every level before you have even started, I mean the sorts of codes that enhanced the game or gave it a breath of fresh air.
Not all of them do.AlmightyWabbit said:Pretty much a good thing, cheats spoil the game.
