really dislike something then the last thing you want is to hear more about it, by bitching you are bringing it up and also going to cause people do disagree with you, continuing the discussion about it.
If you dislike something strongly enough then you try not to think about it.

I don't get how you can't understand it. He is not saying that
everyone who hates a game does it to be cool, but there most certainly are those that do.
A game gets hated by a popular person, maybe with a trilby, and all of a sudden you can't go into a thread without somebody bitching about the game using almost exactly the same words.
