Many will argue that GTA San Andreas was the pinnacle of the Rockstar open world games (personally I think Bully comes daaaaayum close) and I would be inclined to agree. Sure, some improvements were definitely made during GTA IV such as the targeting and... graphics but ultimately I think it would be very hard to not admit that the rest was a step backwards. The game had great story, an interesting world that felt alive and vibrant and atmospheric. Even in Saint's Row 2 (which I LOVE), I never got that same feeling that at any moment a rival gang could show up and just start some beef with me or I was going out on a date tonight but might end up another ghetto black youth statistic as the victim of a drive-by.
CJ just had great commentary, a great cast, great missions, and great fun that kept the game a golden treat for me.
After seeing MUCH promise in the recent Red Dead Redemption (I also saw a lot of groan inducing issues) I'm wondering if Rockstar is adverse to the idea of revisiting the awesomeness that was San Andreas. If they did so, I personally would want them to bring back many aspects of the system, such as leveling up skills and those skills effecting your body type. Watch those cheeseburgers fatty!
So the question is, does anybody ELSE want to see a San Andreas 2.. instead of just another "GTA: Gritty City Simulator"? And if so, what features (Past, Present, or conceptual) would you like to see added to the game?
