Do you think masturbation can be harmful to your life even though its a natural function(well with a little help) psychologically and how you act socially(primarily interactions with the opposite sex).
How much is too much or often is too often?(how often do you?)
Should you even? for it can be a real time waster.
When does is go from healthy to bad?(in your opinion)

Edit: I never said physically, but do you think youd be better off doing it every now and then than often everyday(like people usually admit to).
Like having more focus than you would on tasks.

Masturbation is in no way harmful. In fact NOT doing it can cause serious psychological and body-image issues

...unless you do it excessively and compulsively. Nothing wrong with even as much as a few times a day. I'd say if you're averaging more than three times a day, you might want to think about cutting back. More than ten, you've got a fairly serious problem.

Me personally, well... I'm recently single again, so let's just say daily.

Physically, no; go nuts. It can become a problem psychologically if it starts to supplant you know, like human interaction.

If you say to yourself often: "I don't want to go out and do things because I'm going to stay home and masturbate" than you gotta' switch up that routine.

Regular ejaculation helps avoid prostate cancer, and it's a given that sex isn't always an option. Moderate masturbation is good for you, say once every two days or so.

Too much of anything is bad. I am not a medical student but i have heard that masterbation is good for you . It's also keeps your sperm healthy. Now it COULD be bad if say , you masterbate quickly ( a self quicky) , this could make your body get used to ejaculating quickly, and in turn, when your have sex, you may blow your load too early. If you take your time and do it ( even 2 or three times in a row ) it could help you to gain endurance, and last longer in bed with a partner. Sperm fully replenishes fairly quickly so it's unlikely a person would run out of sperm. Too much is when it starts to hurt your penis ( this is the part of my reply that i remember that women masterbate too , my post is for guys i guess). Personally i have only done it to myself at most 3 times in the same day , when i was younger( shall not specify age ) i could do it twice everyday for months without having problems ( at this point of the thread i suspect OP to be a troll lol). Masterbation is a healthy thing to do, as it could relax the body, give you pleasure, and help with sexual performance. I think it starts to go from healthy to bad when you are addicted to it and are unable to go without masterbating, or when you hurt yourself while masterbating. One last little side note, sperm is actually good for your skin , it can removes bumps and make your skin softer .

Edit: oh one more thing, even if you don't masterbate, you will have wet dreams and ejaculate in your sleep, masterbation could help prevent that.

Nope.avi

Its actually healthy. Its good for your prostate and it relieves stress. The only risk of over doing it is that you may find it hard to come if it isn't you doing it. That can be cured by leaving your dick alone for a few weeks.

well,if you don't use lube or something you can get some pretty nasty blisters.then you could screw up your wrist if your doing it wrong.or if someone walks in on you you could get some skin caught in the fly,but that's not really from the masturbation is it...

so over all i'd say...no,it's not.

All these people are so very wrong. Masturbation is an incredibly harmful practice. Try having your girlfriend catch you masturbating to pictures of her sister and not get the shit kicked out of you.

Not unless you're driving or operating heavy machinery while doing so.

Or erotic asphyxia.

It isn't really harmful, though if you do it a lot it the supplies can add up to be pretty expensive. I mean seriously, do they really have to charge that much for corkscrews? And it's not like you can buy in bulk without the cashier giving you weird looks.

(if you don't know why you need a corkscrew, you're obviously a virgin)

Nope. It's actually a bit healthy. Your sex drive doesn't develop in your teens just because it's trolling you.

Like almost anything else, it's harmless in moderation. It's only a problem if you get addicted to it, for lack of a better term. That said, if/when you get involved in a sexual relationship with somebody, ease off a bit; doing it too much can negatively impact your performance, as you're too used to your own touch.

Sex education for young people should do a better job discussing the scientific facts about ejaculation frequency / quality and testosterone levels.

Having sex with another person correlates with higher testosterone levels, and more frequent ejaculations (several times a day, whether through masturbation or sex) correlate with lower testosterone levels.

I'm not saying every guy should aim to maximize testosterone, but guys who want to go down that path of a thicker frame, more body hair, etc should aim to have more sex and less masturbation in their teen years. With that said, there are a lot of other factors that can have a bigger effect on testosterone like diet, exercise, etc.

Masturbation by itself is not too much of a problem. Physically it can actually function as a form of stress release, and can even reduce prostate cancer if done several times a week. (By extension, I'm pretty sure that I'm immortal now.)
However, it is entirely possible to become addicted to it. You can get addicted to pretty much anything. Most masturbation naysayers might point that the discomfort that some people feel when stopping masturbation is proof that it is dangerous, but that isn't always the case.
Let me put it to you this way. I love peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. I have eaten about 5 a week or so ever since I was a kid. I am in college now, and the peanut butter station is kind of nasty, so I've stayed away from it. While I do miss the sandwiches, it doesn't cause me any anxiety. I'm not spending all day thinking about my lack of peanut butter intake, and I'm not crying into my salad at every meal wishing for a delicious sandwich.
It's the same thing with masturbation. Most guys might prefer to masturbate daily or even twice daily, but they are no more addicted to it than PB&J. Again, some people can become addicted, but they are in such a minority that your average person doesn't even have to worry about it.
