and I look forward to playing Mass Effect 3 with friends![/quote] Me too. I hope it's split screen rather than just online.
People like yourself not buying the Wii and its good games are the reason you don't see as many of those games on there that you'd like.Vault101 said:I find it pretty funny, multiplayer is creeping into more and more games and yet the gaming expereince has become more "solitary"...in a manner of speaking
because to be honest, aside from fighting games like mortal combat or racing games (I think) and such I really cant think of many games that allow you to play multiplayer with somone else in the same room, with another controller...it seems the only use for a second controller is charging rotation :/
its also funny that "split screen"....you know that thing we did on the N64 with golden eye...is pretty much non-existant...and yet our TV's are generally bigger than ever
OR am I wrong? my first question is are there any relitivley recent games that make use of "in the same room" multiplayer?
AND...well why? is it purley greed? (an extra console/game per person) or is there somone other cost/technicla reason?
(yeah I know this is one main point of the wii...but...well Im not a fan of the wii)
Dead Rising 2 has splitscreen? AWESOME!Noelveiga said:Really?Kadoodle said:All three games in the Resistance trilogy allow for splitscreen coopVault101 said:I find it pretty funny, multiplayer is creeping into more and more games and yet the gaming expereince has become more "solitary"...in a manner of speaking

Portal 2
Borderlands
That's all I can think of.
Ok, here we go *clears throat*
Gears of War 1, 2 and 3
Lego. Every Lego move game.
Resident Evil 5
Halo 3, ODST and Reach
Guitar Hero/Rock Band
Little Big Planet 1 and 2
Fable 2 and 3
Dead Rising 2
Rage
Marvel Ultimate Alliance 1 and 2
...and that's just boxed games off the top of my head. If you go into downloadable there's a ton of stuff. I mean, come on:
Lara Croft & the Guardian of Light
and every other dual stick shooter ever, including
Geometry Wars 1 and 2
Super Stardust HD
Gatling Gears
Zombie Nation
Renegade Ops
and more...
The Dishwasher 2
Jamestown
Trine
World of Keflings
Rock of Ages
Greed Corp
Splosion Man and Ms Splosion Man
Raskulls
and that's not even counting re-releases, remakes and other stuff that has offline coop. Or party games, motion-controlled games and minigame collections, sports games, racing games, fighting games and more. Oh, and it's just this gen, too.
It seems to me that you guys are forgetting that when things go out of your field of view or attention span they don't stop existing. There's a TON of stuff to play while sitting in the same room, some of it actually awesome.
This = exactly what I was trying to say two posts above you, expressed much more simply. THANK YOU.DustyDrB said:It's still a big thing on the Wii, whether you like it or not . Why would you write off an entire console, especially when it still has many games with a feature that you fear is dying?
