Is South Park Cancelled?

I just watched the episode where they talk about tween music sounding like shit, and at the very end of the episode they do a bit where they make it sound like that might have been the last episode of South Park. Did Trey Parker and Matt Stone say anything about this being the final season of South Park or did I miss something?

Not that I've heard of. Twas a strange episode. Perhaps maybe just a shift in character development? Stan moved away, Kyle seemed to be enjoying his time with Cartman...

They're contracted to do 7 more episodes, but honestly, no one really knows what's going on beyond that.

It's a two parter. They might be on the way out of doing south park but not until the end of the season.

Sad really.

Nah man, it's just many people have noticed and complained about how the show is feeling the same, and other things like too much Randy. So they called themselves on it. It's sorta a plot episode, dunno if this will be permanent but they're trying to shake things up from the monotony they have slipped into.

That said I found it a necessary but unfunny episode. Took one joke and beat it into the ground.

its just the mid-season break and it was the first episode in a two-parter, the second one will air around sept/oct time. south park has already been signed up for another season i believe

Why the heck is not dead yet?

Good grief why won't the shows just die out naturally instead of living on as a shade of what they once were.

You can never have too much Randy.

They did that with Mr. Garrison (See the hilarious episode Mrs. Garrisons Fancy New Vagina)

Its probobly just that, a character development episode.

I've heard they're getting tired of making the show and I can't blame them because it is progressively getting less funny but if they're contracted for 2 more seasons then there's nowt much they can do but make more episodes.

I know what you mean, the last couple of seasons were really poor compared to their earlier stuff. However, this season so far( most of it at least) has been really good. Matt and Trey really seem to be going back to what made the show great, except for the HUmancentipad episode, that one...just no.
