As for tetris: Not a bad game, addictive for the first 15mins but after that meh. The reason why people may see it as the best game ever is because it has no flaws. Blocks fall and you try to stop them from getting to the top. I bet it was the smallest gamer manual ever.
Wait! I forgot EA's games.

Tetris is one of the best old puzzle games, it's pathetic compared to some high and mighty modern games such as COD4 but that doesn't stop it being good.

On a side note, and derailing things, google 'black20 tetris' for a fine Tetris movie trailer, the only thing that fails it, is it looks too good and not stupid enough to be Hollywood.

Best puzzler certainly. There are so many good games out there, but TETRIS certainly stands out. Twenty years on near unchanged gameplay and it is still loved worldwide.

I just love the story about how the idea for the gae came along. Apparently, some russian scientist had a dream about shapes fitting together perfectly, and that when he decided to make the game. and called it TETRIS.
