It's more like bloated. I hated it when trade and shops went in. It doesn't seem fair and trades are annoying as hell. No one wants to play, they want to idle and trade.

The boss fight? I love it. If they made a map with a boss fight alone, the first team beating the boss mins the match? That'll be cool and something never seen in Multiplay shooters before. I actually hope they add more bosses with diffrent tactics.

But yes. If they add too many experiments (Valve sees TF2 as an experimental ground) it will collapse and new players will have to wait a whole day to put TF2 on a separate hardrive because it's WAY too large!

These themed updates like Halloween (or Christmas, Hanukkah, Easter, Saint Patrick's Day, WHATEVER!) are nice. A new map, some new items, achievements and events, all fine.

But they never really looked at how players act and react when new things happen. Swearing is out, Mic spam is out, but you can't throw someone out for asking for a trade. :( ( even if the guy spams that macro every minute)

It's popular but it should close to a halt, just make some themes, Valve, you're done with it.

Honestly? If you don't like the unlocks, find a No Unlocks server and play there. Problem solved.

Eh I always thought the game game was shit right out of the box, and the updates only made it worse. When would you find the time to fight a boss when the other team is trying to win the game anyway?
How did updates make it worse?
Mainly because the new and better equipment is nearly impossible to get when everyone else already has it and you have to get achievements by killing said better equipped players to unlock it, or get incredibly lucky and get it randomly. Or you can pay Valve ridiculous prices for it if you don't want to get your ass kicked by the other players until. The Hats can cost up to $17, and they give pretty significant stat boosts with no disadvantages of any kind.

I intend no offense, but you came into the game kinda late.
Yeah because everybody knows that if the game allows late partiers to still have fun because their on equal footing with the veterans (other than skill level obviously) it's a bad game. /sarcasm

Damn, that was supposed to go in my older post. I'm really dropping the ball with this quote option recently.

I think the reason Valve have priced things so high is to discourage people from just buying everything. Its just for people who want an item really badly and will pay a stupid price.

I didn't mean it like that at all. What I meant was: The person in question came into the game 2 updates ago, and hasn't experienced all the changes TF2 has been through. I remember when they changed the spy stab from the 2-second ordeal it used to be to what it is now, people were all: "Scouts are going to be imba! This game is dying!"
It didn't die then, and it isn't dying now.
