Well, everybody "Has talent" to some degree. It's very rare for people to start drawing and suddenly be doing amazing things. If you are motivated, it's like learning instrument, or how to write... Anybody could become a master.

I agree with some of the sentiment in this thread: If you want to improve, take a more thoughtful approach. Art -and drawing from imagination especially- requires a LOT of thinking, usually, to produce a meaningful result. Simply copying blindly will not get you far; visual art involves taking a subject and representing it in some way.

A big no-no is taking another artist's representation and just copying it without trying to understand: they're still the one ultimately making the representation and you are just drawing lines/making brush strokes/whatever.

So, if you really want to improve... STUDY, STUDY, STUDY and have a tonne of fun! If you can't really comprehend what you should be doing, a good place to start would be just making a habit of drawing a LOT, and drawing varied things. Some of the most fun I have had is picking a random, difficult as fuck subject and having a go at it.

What the fuck? Why is a grown man (presumably) drawing children's TV ponies?

decent speed sketch. if you spend more time, add shading and fine detail and you have a good sketch.
working off something pre-designed is a good way to practice your skills, because you know exactly what it should look like. if you work hard enough, you can improve on the original design. then you can work on your own stuff.

It looks like you just copied it off of sight. I'm not sure what there is to be judged, it's accurate and neat but I can do that and I suck balls at drawing.

I hate that picture!
That picture got me drunk on Boones Farm and took advantage of me under the bleachers.
Now I have Herpes and it won't return my calls.

It's not a bad picture, I don't think. The basic proportions look right, though the muzzle looks a little too long and pointed.

Still, keep trying and improving.

It's okay. I've seen better and I've seen worse. However, if you want a real opinion on a drawing, then please take the time to draw it and not just quickly do it.

Lets see what we have here.. What the.. I should make a rule to myself not to take threads made by people with ponies as their avatar seriously.

I should have guessed it is a drawing about ponies.

Anyways, maybe some color would make it better.
