To me, it sounded like you were taking pride in what you wrote.
I didn't mean to insult you, just bring you down a notch.
What's wrong in taking pride in something you wrote? You don't think Oscar Wilde finished the Picture of Dorian Gray and then said, "Fuck it, this is shit." No, he got it published as a novel.
That's hardly the same situation, now is it?
You have to know when to stand by what you said, and when to admit you were wrong.

Sure, it's not the same situation but it still stands as they're quite similar. I was simply using my example to highlight my point.

anyone else having this issue with the site, where every single page has a chunk that kinda lags behind as you scroll, or kinda gets off kilter, making you have to read sort of diagonally? It appears to be caused by something in the background of every page, what appears to be pictures of some furries named Bethany and Gary. It just popped up recently and has been bugging me, anyone else seeing this or is it just me?

I couldn't find another topic about this, or where exactly I should put a "why did things go haywire?" thread. so if it's in the wrong spot my apologies.
The only thing I can think are:
- If you use Firefox, check your zoom settings. Zooming in or out will cause image movement to lag horribly. Ctrl + 0 should neutralize the zoom, assuming that's the problem.
- On Vista especially, the longer you leave the browser open, the larger the RAM and CPU-usage of the browser. Close your browser once, and reopen to see if that clears it.
- If your leave you computer on for extended periods, restarting should solve intermittent problems.

Beyond that, make sure you don't have a lot of issues with your internet connection, double check your RAM and CPU usage (especially if you have too many processes going at once), and turn off unnecessary programs on start-up. A defrag might help as well.

So, back to my issue with the site

My main problem is that I can only post in forums, recieve and send messages, add a picture and update my profile from the desktop at home. I can't do any of it on my laptop. Has anyone had this problem?

Nothing like that

I do have this thing, though, that the first time I view a thread and I try to quote someone, it'll reload the thread and THEN quote them in the box at the bottom

Curious and a little annoying

Google Chrome browser.
Ditto the bejesus out of this. Everyone who happens to read this - fuck the Hell outta Mozilla or (god fukkin' forbid) Internet Explorer or whatever the Hell browser you're using. Get with the millenia and update to Chrome now. It is the most amazing piece of tech I've discovered in years, and it's also the best malware-buster ever.

In short, I am a whore for Google Chrome.

But seriously, do it.

Ctrl+0 actually just puts it to what it's at, if I zoom out far enough that the text is unreadable it reveals the add in the background and stops causing the problem, but as I said the text is at that point unreadable.

As I said before, I don't use Chrome because it tends to choke on it's own tongue. Even when doing something so simple as a google search in a second tab has caused it to require the use of it's in program task manager. And four or more tabs can cause it to require the real task manager, in comparison I can run 4 streaming video tabs and a couple dozen text pages in Firefox without having a problem.
