I don't care what anyone says. Any movie with massive amounts of Jedi being killed wins. III was my favorite of them all.

There are many things out there that got ruined by trying to take a known concept or idea with a huge and devoted fanbase(rabid or otherwise)and opening it up beyond its boundaries to earn a few millions more. You might gain extra fans, yes, however you are spitting in the face of the fans that have been following you works for many years, even decades.

It comes down to this, fans can be loyal to a franchise because of many reasons, they however shouldn't be loyal to a company or frontman. I love fallout, Startrek and so many other things however when a company betrays the core ideas they will have to seek new fans because their old ones are keeping their wallets closed.

Im not so much a StarWars fan however I am a StarTrek fan, and yes I deny the existence of the last 2 films (genesis and "star trek") and of course the 'enterprise' series and the MMO game. Same goes for "The new scrolls: fallout", "Less massive effect 2" and the holy spirit.

I still prefer to view Prince of Persia: Sands of Time as a stand alone game. Sure, I acknowledge the sequels exist, I just don't like them and PoPSoT works well by itself and by that I mean it doesn't have a Modern Warfare styled ending of "Well you see the answer to-FIND OUT IN TWO YEARS".

I absolutely hate FEAR 2: Project Origin. I think it's shit compared to the amazing original FEAR.

But you know what? I'm not going to deny that Project Origin is canon. Fuck that. I'm smart.

FEAR was awesome. Project Origin sucks shit, but it's still a FEAR game, it's still the official sequel, and that changes nothing.

Similarly, Deus Ex: Invisible War is STILL canon, it is STILL a Deus Ex game despite its controversial nature, and the fact that there were plenty of raving fantards out there who despised it so much does NOT change the facts.

Fallout 3 part of the series... perhaps.
It doesn't make any sense, though.

It does seem like everyone wants to ignore the silly things in it and just make a new Fallout game like 3 was never there, though.

Not sure how to feel about that.

The star wars new trilogy is part of the Star Wars canon. By saying it doesn't is slapping George Lucas in the face, if you really like star wars that much why slap George Lucas?

So, if you fall into this category in my opinion you are an elitist. And no one wants to be an elitist right?

Anyway, I'm done complaining now.

EDIT: To make this a tiny bit less of a rant thread give your opinions on what people who the above applies to. I thought this would come along with territory but apparently not.
I can't believe you actually posted this and didn't expect a rant. Did you research it at all? because it really seems like you did not. It is an extremely sensitive issue. Most people who care about Star Wars hate, HATE the prequel trilogy and would love to hit George Lucas, repeatdly and then probably crush him with dvd boxsets of the prequels or something. Maybe you had good intentions, but you really come across as a troll.

Because I love Star Wars, not George Lucas.

I love Star Wars a lot and precisely because I love I'm very picky as to what I count as canon. So for me it is: the original 3 films, the 5 first Zahn books, Dark Forces 1+2 and KotOR 1+2. Everything else, while existing, does not count as Star Wars for me. If that makes me elitist then I'm perfectly fine with that. Besides elitist is hardly a bad thing to be.
I personally count the original 3, the han solo trilogy, the heir to the empire trilogy(haven't read the duology),the rogue squardon series, the republic commando series, Star Wars: Clone Wars and Clone Wars Adventures, along side the kotor series.

note: when I say clone wars, i refer to the series made by Genndy Tartakovsky.

Well we could always slap Lucas for the horrid that is star wars episode 1! (I kid I kid)

I admit things that I don't like exist... But there are some things I wish didn't exist.. Like the expansions to WoW.. I liked the game when it was just World of Warcraft.. The new stuff wasn't needed... That's an opinion though so Don't eat me! :p

Can I least pretend that the 4th Indian Jones film doesn't exist? It hurts less that way...

Oh who am I kidding, somebody bought it for me a couple of christmas' ago...which I thought was pretty harsh! What did I ever do to deserve that? I would've prefered a turd in a well presented box at least that would've been funny
