games and movies don't really freak me out, but stick insects and pelicans with their beaks of doom scare the bejesus out of me.
Frank the Rabbit is a scary ************.kazuki landen said:Justified fear! Thing is, the triffids really, really shouldn't be that scary. I mean, they're plants. Which happen to walk. They could be defeated by a large gang of hungry snails. And yet there's something terrifying about them...Cargando said:Oh dear you just reminded me of the biggest fright of my life.kazuki landen said:I read The Day of The Triffids, and ok, I know they're only plants, but seriously, I was too scared to reach out and turn off the light, in case the triffids underneath my high bed saw me moving and killed me.
Having said that, I can't wait until there's a decent film version out...
I had just finished the book, in bed turned, out the light and started to wonder what it was like being blind. Anyway, it was pitch black and I started getting a bit paranoid, like maybe I was blind? So I reached for the light and turned it on, [i/]and nothing happened[/i]! Turns out I'd turned it off just before a power-cut and it didn't turn back on again! Terrified me.
Also, I saw Frank the Rabbit out of the corner of my eye for months after watching Donnie Darko... Late at night, that was not fun.
Actually, Bioshock never really scared me. The G-Man, on the other hand...eesh.Cargando said:That's not weird, it scared the hell out of everyone. (Bioshock, that is)
As for what scares me: anything the G-man says or does, god he's frightening.
Lol those cute little puffballs wouldn't hurt you they are so used to people. Where at in TN did you stay?L33tsauce_Marty said:Bears.
We rented a cabin in Tennessee over the summer, oh my god I got so scared when I saw one.
I would totally do that.tellmeimaninja said:Shadow Complex. The guy seriously just met the girl, and he's going into a small war to save her. It's a good thing that game is so much fun, as it is a bit lacking in the story department.
I loved playing The 7'th Guest when I was younger just to get scared. I would play it many times and still get creeped out at the same spots.D-Mic said:Cargando said:That's not weird, it scared the hell out of everyone. (Bioshock, that is)

Also, in Fallout 3, being attacked by a previously undetected Yao Guai. From behind. In the middle of the night. With a sound system. PANTS. SHITTING. HORROR.
Also, it may look silly now, but The 7th Guest still creeps me out intensely. My dad played it all the time when I was 3, and it scared the crap out of my poor, impressionable mind. I guess there's some minor scarring there. Oh well.
