Maybe I don't know, but has there ever been a game set in Australia?
You could go to Australia in Tony Hawks Underground 2. Although it wasn't set entirely in Australia.
Okay, how about New Zealand? But Lord of the Rings doesn't count.
The New Zealand Story, 21 years ago.
*Sigh*, fine. How about the Cote d'Ivoire? Beat that.
Ivory Coast, that's in Africa. Isn't RE5 set in or near there, or is it a different part? I don't know, Africa's a BIG place...

@ The Blue Sader..
I'm pretty sure you can just rename the provinces manually in game... Would have saved you a lot of time/reinstall. Sure, you have to capture them first, but if you're playing as Ireland and take them off the English, reverse Anglicanisation seems.. sensible..

Numerous Tazmainian devil carts in the 16 but days
The egyptians are in Civ amongst other historical titles.
Leb must have been done at some point in the thousands of shooters out there.
Dont think the sun has been done.

What about a whole set inside....a washing machine...or a dryer....or even....a light bulb.
LittleBigPlanet people did a washing machine before.
So did Rayman. It was the level where you fought the space momma who had a rolling pin and sang opera.
Man, that game was fucked up.

Okay, this idea started when me and one of my mates started talking about a setting in a game that was never used before.

The idea expanded and now, what do you think would be the one place in a game that has never been set in a game before.

Currently the winner I've thought of has been... Ireland.

This can be different time periods too.
As another person said, Folklore was a game set in Ireland, but i think that is the only game that is set in Ireland...I also think that was the only reason i bought Folklore!

How about...a game set in a human eye!
a game set in a toaster!
In a...Limo!
Ooooo was there ever a game, purely set in a book?

Inside a human body? Or did family guy or something do that already?
The flagship title for doomed Amiga console the CD32 was an Inner-Space style shooter whose name escapes me (and I owned the damn thing) where you flew through beautifully rendered (for 1991) blood vessels shooting viruses and other brightly-coloured microassailants in between the most pathetic FMV cutscenes I've ever borne witness to. Where's Tim Curry when you need him?

Mongolia? Can't think of anything off the top of my head, unless they made a Ghengis Khan game.
Age of Empires II: The Conquerers has a Mongolian campaign, didn't it?
I'd say a game set in a volcano. Would be awesome. No, Super Mario 64 doesn't count just because there's a volcano that you can go into.
A huge chunk of The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind is set in a volcano.

I don't think there have been any games where you get shrunk to microscopic size and dropped in a blanket. Could be interesting fighting dustmites and what not i hear they can be pretty vicious.

Or for that matter dropped outside...

Oh wait I think AntBully was a game darn nvm

Okay, people. I think that's enough with the suggesting that we get shrunk into microbes.

Your a rubber band that suddenly becomes sentient inside the rubber band factory, and you must use your elasticity to fight the evil CEO and free your Rubber Comrades. Hows that?

As well as Folklore, I think Clive Barker's Undying is set in Ireland, and Broken Sword 2 has a section there too. However, has there been a game set in Wales before?
