One of the very few episodes of the TV show where something actually happens. How the show can manage to have a dozen painfully slow and boring episodes where absolutely nothing happens followed by one episode in which something supposedly "shocking" happens and yet still be called great is beyond me.

This is coming from someone who read the books. To me Game of Thrones is the perfect example of how NOT to port a book to the screen.

PS, CAPTCHA requirements on a forum I'm already logged into is BS...

This marks the beginning of the end of the Starks. The suffering has only begun and will never stop.

I've long stopped caring for the TV show because of how poorly written it is, and how uninteresting the characters are. Still, this little wedding has managed to amuse me to no end at how identifiable it is to watch people suffer because of something in their fav TV show.

Captcha: Quality Time

Out of curiosity... is there a TV show that you consider well written? :)

That red wedding. It sure caught me by surprise when I read it.

But then, the end of the last book was even more surprising.
For the Watch!

I really hope GRRM finishes the books, unlike Robert Jordan.

Brandon Sanderson did a really good job capping them off.

That depends on how many books he has planned I guess. Jordan released books faster than Martan is. The books so far almost seem like a prologue to the main story.

He won't push through with it.

Without a certain someone present in a certain area.
A certain area storyline won't be able to progress unless he decides to pull a new character out of thin air

Man, I can't wait for the next season now. We've had the Red Wedding and the Starks eating shit. We all know whose next up.

Hint, they have lots of gold.

Honestly probably the best episode of the series so far. As a non reader I saw most of the other major events, or at least wasn't particularly shocked by them but this one got me.
I have to admit, I was surprised, and didn't see it coming until about a minute before hand... even then, I didn't predict how it would turn out.

I can see why many people give up on the Game of Thrones books, as the author apparently sets up all his likable characters for death on purpose. I'll still keep going myself, but I am starting to feel alittle wary of it as I don't want to invest any emotion in any character as they'll likely be the next on the block
