ghost recon wildland is far from tactical. its as tactical as throw a brick on window. another series that got dumbed down and gone open world.

Original Ghost recon on PC was real tactical shooter.

Max payne 3 definitely has best gunplay in series although 1 remain best in every way.

I didnot liked 2 at all. it was inferior sequel with worse story, less atmospheric and faar too easy. 3 was much better.

Yes, the only game out of the 3 where you play as a girl just happens to be the one game out of the 3 that you dislike.

plenty of third person games i have played since max payne 3. Hitman is best of them but its more of stealth, played vanquish and its pretty bad, played tomb raider reboot games (except shadow of) and both are some of the worst games ever, and theres definitely more but end up hating them. Sniper elite was fairly good third person game i guess.

so the way i see. Max payne 3 still remain king. its rockstars best game ever made. initially i didnot liked it when i played first but then i gave it chance and end up loving it.

B-Cell, don't ever get tired of crying the same shit over and over. There are many 1st/3rd person shooters that have surpass MP3: Vanquish (you don't know how to have fun, if you think this game is bad), Gungrave & Overdose, the earlier Max Payne games, Dead to Rights (2002), F.E.A.R 1, and John "motherfucking" Woo's Stranglehold! I say this, and I like Max Payne 3. This is the last thread I ever respond from you, because you are sad and boring. You have so much growing up to do pal.

Oh hell- I didn't realise sandboxes were an option too. Hell yeah Just Cause 3 by a country mile. Not to mention other great 3rd person sandboxes like The Saboteur and stuff like Wildlands.

That explains a lot. I always wondered why controlling Max felt like wrangling cats.

Even the blind cave salamander level from Earth Worm Jim 2 didn't feel so jarring, since the devs at Shiny drop you into a large, safe starting area to get used to the new controls.

I'll give you that MP3 has some good 3rd person gunplay. Unfortunately, it has has escort missions, painful boss fights and Max spends the entire fucking game moping about how much his life sucks. Which wouldn't be terrible, except the did the same thing the last two games and each one ended with "BUt I'm better now" only to go back to "Now I'm sad again". It was fine in MP2 because it felt like an interesting follow up to "Hero gets his revenge for dead family" because now his raison d'etre is gone, but presumably at the end of MP2 he finally found a new reason to live, so it really doesn't help when in MP3, Max is literally back to square one yet again on the mope train.

Seriously, Max needs to go to therapy which doesn't involve bullets, booze and painkillers.

Yeah, I couldn't put a finger on it either until Raycevick's video. I still vividly remember being so uncomfortable trying to move up stairs and aim/shoot during that boat level.

My biggest problem with Max Payne 3 (gameplay wise) is that it never felt like I could properly anticipate enemy attacks, with the attacks then taking off half of my lifebar. This is the worst during that cruiseship level, where dudes could just pop up from behind corners and instantly shoot me with zero sign of enemies being around.
