Thank god its not going to be like Trinity Soul. Heres hoping its as good as the Tales of the Abyss anime.
IF it is then I will likely shit bricks, heres hoping it gets localized, unlike Abyss.
God I hope it never get localized other wise we will never get awesome fansubs like for what they did for Tales of the Abyss.
Yes the Abyssal Chronicles one was made of win, but it was being done simultaneously as the air as I recall, so even if localization does eventually happen a sub like that is still a possibility.
How many animes have you seen with such high quality subs? I haven't bought any DVDs lately (mainly because I don't wanna pay $60 for 2 - 4 episodes) but I don't remember seeing anything even remotely nice. Hell i don't think I've seen anything even comparable to some speed subbing groups.

You have far better eyes than me if you feel that way. I do think they look slightly taller though, who's the character designer for the anime? If it isn't Soejima you gotta expect there to be some differences. As long as the animation is fine and they don't stomp all over the original story it should be fine. Not trying to be rude or anything by the way, if it sounds that way.
I'm not trying to disparage the anime either, it looks perfectly fine (visually, we don't know what they'll do with the show yet). It's just that there's a slight difference in the design and it's messing with my head. Maybe it's just me.

Hopefully it will have better animation than the cutscenes.
It's not just you, I'm seeing it too. I've seen plenty of P4 fanart, and it really does look closer to some of the high-quality fanart I've seen. Then again, these are only promotion images, so we have no idea how it will look in motion. I'm a huge fan of Soejima's art style (Pretty much every SMT game has had great art), and I'd hate to see his designs changed just to make it easier to animate...

I was wondering when they'd get around to making it an anime, can't wait for it to come out :D :D

Hopefully this will make it here to the US. I've spent over 80 hours with Persona 4, so it'd be interesting to see the story play out via an anime. Now I just have to finish the True Ending and start a second playthrough.

Incidentally, a few weeks back, I showed a friend a few of the anime cutscenes from Persona 4, and she said they needed to make this into an anime. Wish granted, I guess XP

$60?!?

That's what I pay for Blu-Ray's with like 10 or more episodes, where the hell do you shop?

HMV. I'd rather buy online but my parents had issues with me using the credit card to buy things that they think are pointless.

There's something very odd about the anime designs.

Can't quite figure it out. Something's uncannily different, though.

Yeah, i'm playing through P4 right now and the design is quite different from the game.

But I'm not really excited for the anime cause I'm enjoying the story more by playing the game, I would be more excited if they made a real animation of the hiimdaisy P4 comic than this.

The MC will always be Altair Al-Ahad to me.

I think your HMV may be overcharging you. DVDs never cost $60 for 4 episodes, unless the door to the HMV was a magical portal to a shop in Japan. Not to mention that 4 episode DVDs haven't been commonplace since 2007. Pretty much everyone has switched to 13 episode sets for $50. There are some stragglers (Bandai, Media Blasters) but most have realized that no one wants to buy something 4 episodes at a time.

$60 AUS or what? Most season boxsets on DVD run $45ish USD if you can't find a deal on them. I frequently get seasons on Blu-ray at $45 USD or less.

I mean, when they first moved to DVD, I remember some companies would release a $25 DVD with a single episode on it, but that's pretty much not a thing that occurs anymore.

Okay, if Persona 4 was heroin, and this anime was a syringe, then I'd be lying face down in a ditch with blood coming out of my eyes.

...by which I mean I love Persona 4, and officially cannot wait for this.

Why would I want to watch the anime adaption of something I can actually play?
If it were like, a prequel or a sequel revealing more of the Persona universe, okay, you got me interested. But a straight up adaption of the storyline of the game? Not that much of an incentive to me...

Why not do something like Dead Space Downfall?
I mean, sure, it wasn't all that great a movie, but at least the concept was more or less right.

Hopefully the anime will give him an actual name, or else that script will be really awkward to act out.

He will always be "Charlie Tunoku" to me.
Haha, Giant Bomb. That endurance run was something.

I'm looking forward to seeing how this turns out! It's been a while since I played through this... Almost enough reason for me to finish up FES and play 4 again.

That's some rather...vivid imagery on your thoughts on this.

But anywho! I'm with ya on being excited about this. Though it's gonna be weird to hear the protagonist being called Yu Narukami rather than the familiar Souji Seta.

And to think, I'm only a few hours away from beating Persona 3. I'll just hope I can get a copy of P4 in due time.
