People could've switched money out of stocks if they really wanted to, there was like 6 months at least warning.
There was indeed 6 months of warning or more.

Of course, during that 6 months, you said it wouldn't happen.

Don't worry, price rises will affect us all.

You were adamant they didn't need to.
I'm not very worried.

I would have if I was retiring just in case. I don't overly trust the stock market when it's value is based on how people feel vs how good the company is. I'll probably switch to bonds regardless when I'm within a few years. I currently have more money in a CD than my 401Ks.

Of course you're not. You care solely about what affects you personally, not anyone else; and you're still under the impression that tariffs on things you like will magically leave prices unaffected.

Yes! Because prices don't affect me nor have I ever cared about things that don't affect me!!! 🙄

Oh, prices will and do affect you. But you're "not worried" presumably because you naively believe blanket tariffs won't result in price rises for things you personally care about.

This part is unironically true.
Well, eggs did never go up for me, just had an omelette with 2 sides at the restaurant last night for $6.

You obviously only selectively read what I say then.
